**Woohoo !! It's Christmas Day**

:cool1: The cooker is fixed!!:cool1:

I can't believe how quickly the part came - it arrived yesterday. DH fitted the new element last night and I've just baked a cake to check everything is OK - so that's a bonus not only do I have a working cooker but cake as well!!:rotfl:

Pleased to hear the cooker has been fixed, enjoy your cake:thumbsup2

I'm glad you got your cooker sorted, Libby.

I am worrying about the weather forecasts for Saturday now, as that's when we are supposed to be travelling to Disneyland Paris. This time last year our trip was cancelled due to the Eurostar not coping with the bad weather and I'm thinking lightning may be about to strike twice.

 That's great news Libby, you must be so relieved

If only we lived closer we could come around and test the cake for you.:rotfl:

party: I'm so excited. The days are flying by though at the moment!! just hoping the snow misses us today and holds out until the weekend at least :upsidedow

:wizard: Fingers crossed the snow doesn't cause too much disruption

I am way behind as ever ... still have 50% cards to write and post, 50 %presents to buy and 100% to wrap. Still no tree up either. I now have 4 days off work and I am hoping to try and do a bit. Also have a Christmas party tomorrow which would perhaps make me feel a bit festive if I didn't feel so yucky with a viral thing, congestion, bad throat and cough etc.

 Oh Sarah, I hope you're feeling better soon hun. I think I would be hyperventilating if I had all that still to do :wizard: Good luck at catching up with everything. Enjoy your party ::yes::

it's going to hit a lot of traders isn't it :(

hope it picks up for you Wayne.

Its 10 inches here ... we've walked the mile to Tesco and walked back with the shopping but I'm not planning on leaving the house again this weekend. Hopefully I'll get my shopping finished next week

We are off to Cheshire Oaks to do a bit of shopping .. not at all looking forward to it as it will be crazy busy. I will be lucky to find a parking place. Still got quite a lot to do and still got stuff to post out in the mail. Maybe next year I will be more organised. LOL :rotfl2::rotfl2:

We are doing our thorough house clean and tidy today ready for the families to arrive on Christmas day (somehow the thought of my mum and my MIL in the house at the same time makes me feel the need to do a thorough clean beforehand!!) I also need to wrap all the presents this evening and finish sorting the laundry so that I can pack for our Disneyland Paris trip tomorrow!!

The shopping trip postponed to Tuesday because of icy roads and the thought of doing it on a Saturday, I just couldn't face it!

Upto Friday was a great week, up 10% on same week last year, after today the week is 10% down. Amazing how it can change with a coupe of inch of snow.
Hope we get no more now.

I was reaaaaaally looking forward to Christmas until the snow decided to spoil all my Christmas plans, and now I'm feeling rather all "bah humbug" about it all :sad1:

Because of the snow late last week, it now means that I have to go into uni during the christmas holidays. I was planning to go home to spend time with my family during the holidays, but now that's not gonna be able to happen just yet :(
Also, I've been told that I have to work lots of Christmas overtime at work, and they are being less than understanding about being stuck in snow and clashing with new uni timetable. Booooo :(
I was supposed to be taking my parents and brother on a surprise trip to London on Tuesday to see the show Ghost Stories, but that's not looking possible at the moment. I've also booked a lovely Christmas meal for some very dear friends that I have not seen in a long time this week.

Oooooooooooh noooooooooooooooo :sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

Oh no .. sorry to hear your plans have been disrupted by the snow .. hopefully it will have melted by Tuesday and you will be able to get to London. We are fortunate here in North Wales to only get a light covering and all the main roads are clear, just a bit icy.

Sarah ~ I hope you still get to do your shopping trip

Wayne ~ I hope things pick up for you over the next few days

Bethan ~ :wizard: Fingers crossed you get to London with your family hun
