What would you like for Christmas? Hoping for a Hermes bangle but happy with whatever my wonderful family gives me...:lovestruc

When do you think you'll be putting your Christmas tree up? Next weekend - we always put it up for Thanksgiving as DD's fiance is half-American...

What is your fave Christmas song? "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"...

What is your fave Christmas Carol? "The First Noel"...

What will you be having for Christmas dinner? This year - sushi canapes (homemade by me!) and champagne cocktails (DH invents a new one every year) when everyone arrives. Starter: Lobster Bisque. Main Course: Turkey and Beef with Roasted Potatoes, Sticky Parsnips and Carrots, Creamed Sprouts with Pancetta, Cauliflower Cheese with Boursin and Creme Fraiche, Pigs in Blankets, Stuffing Balls (;) ) Cranberry and Port Sauce, Gravy. Dessert: Christmas Pudding with Calvados Cream OR Profiteroles, Berries and Hot ChocoBaileys Sauce...

What drink do you like to serve with Christmas dinner? We start with Champagne Christmas Cocktails (see above) and serve champagne, red and white wine throughout with Coca Cola in various varieties. Oh and water of course...

What is your fave Christmas advert? DH & I fondly remember a Woolworths one from eons ago - "Have a cracking Christmas at Woolworths, Cracker of a Christmas shopping spree... But of course, "Holidays are coming! Holidays are coming..." ticks all the boxes! :thumbsup2

How are you getting on with your Christmas shopping? Not bad! I'm always quick of the mark and have completed about 90%. Only problem now is I tend to get seduced by something fah-bu-lous for someone and send the budget spiralling outa control!!! Oh and I find a million excuses for buying something for myself - from the dogs. Or from youngest DS... I'm bad!!!

Have you written your Christmas cards yet? Most of them! Sent my USA ones already which was waaaay too early and just got to find a nice one for DH...

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!!
:santa: :santa: :santa:

Why thank you, missus!!! :flower3: Most of the recipes are tried and tested but the sushi is new for this year - and I'm a little scared...

PS: DH tells me the Christmas Cocktail for this year is something called a 'Chrismosa'... :santa:

I am sure your sushi will be fine.

The Chrismosa sounds luuuvely!

What would you like for Christmas? I'm just grateful for whatever I get. I can never think of anything I want!

When do you think you'll be putting your Christmas tree up? The First Weekend in December.

What is your fave Christmas movie? A Muppet Family Christmas (Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! We have a tradition now of getting loads of party food, wearing our Christmas PJs, and watching this on Christmas eve!) Has anyone else seen this film? Robert loved the muppets but had never seen the film until last year...

What is your fave Christmas song? "Mele Kalikimaka" sticks in my head at the moment, but it isn't my fave! Probably.... "Merry Christmas Everyone" by Cliff!! Or.... "Driving Home for Christmas" by Chris Rea.... OOOO! No, I adore 'Last Christmas' by Wham! It's not Christmas until I've heard that!

What is your fave Christmas Carol? "Here we come a Wassailing", but I'm darned if I can remember the words!

What will you be having for Christmas dinner? The plan at the moment goes as follows- No Starter (Because my brother is too picky!).... If we did have a starter though I'd be making hot goats cheese salad. Followed by Turkey, Venison and Duck (Venison is if we can get ahold of it!), roasties, sprouts (traditional value only) green beans, turnip (Ugh!), sausages, bacon rolls, sausages wrapped in bacon with rosemary, and either mum's sage and onion stuffing or my sausage stuffing. Followed by chocolate mousse Christmas pudding, or whatever else we can find (We never mind taking a risk making a new pudding at Christmas as if it goes wrong theres plenty of sweets in the house!)

What drink do you like to serve with Christmas dinner? I generally make cocktails for everyone first (alcoholic and non), Mum often likes some champers or very dry cava with her meal, whereas the rest of us are awkward! I love Coca-Cola from a glass bottle at Christmas (I don't care what anyone says, it tastes different!) or non alcoholic Pink Muscat. Robert loves Feel Good Orange and Passionfruit, and my brother likes J20s...

What is your fave Christmas advert? Coca Cola Christmas Truck ad... My other fave is the Andrex one where all the puppies come home for Christmas!

How are you getting on with your Christmas shopping? I'm done. Robert needs to order his Dads present, but we know what that is so its all sorted!

Have you written your Christmas cards yet? No, gonna do them later today I think....
