OK... a little preparation before I reveal my new find.

When I first tried this stuff, I HATED it. We were trying to use it for its INTENDED use, and I think it pretty much stinks at that. I tried it actually SEVERAL times before I discovered it.
Actually, I can't take credit. My son discovered this. My son is Autistic. He has sensory issues, and he loves to keep ice in his mouth. One day he is sitting in front of the TV watching Naruto and he's snacking on something. I decided it was worth a try, and its a family favorite now.

OK, OK, enough suspense. Go to Costco (Sams may have it... not sure) and buy a BIG bag of this stuff. If you have tried it before... trust me... try it THIS way.
Its called SPECTRUM BLEND. Its frozen peaches, melon balls, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, etc. Now, we use it in smoothies too, but its pretty tasteless in smoothies. The flavors all seem to taste the same. I don't like it in punch, as an appetizer at parties, or any of the "normal" uses. I think its pretty bland really. I also ironically, don't like it too much in a sample cup at Costcos. I DO like it straight from the freezer, in a bowl, FROZEN SOLID, and I just pop a piece in my mouth and let it thaw. You can cut it up into smaller pieces with a knife, or just break a piece off with your teeth. A single peach slice can last me about 15 minutes, so I know its not something I'm scarfing down. If I'm feeling a bit festive I sprinkle some powdered Jello on top. (Cherry is my favorite)

Its fat free, low calorie, cold, and it lasts great through a movie. The perfect late night snack.

If you already do this, fine. I'm sure theres plenty of you who know this. But I'm sure theres at least ONE person out there who will try this, and like me, get hooked.

The irony is its called SPECTRUM blend. My son is on the Autistic SPECTRUM, and eating frozen foods or ice is something Autistic children are known to do.
