GO NOW! http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/

We’ve showed you videos of the new “Glow With the Show” Ears, so now it’s time to check them out for yourself! Join us on Monday, July 30, at Disney California Adventure park for our Disney Parks Blog “Glow With the Show” Meet-Up.
Sign up here right now for a chance to attend with a guest. Each meet-up participant (including guests) will receive a pair of “Glow With the Show” Ears and reserved viewing for the 9 p.m. showing of “World of Color.” After the show, you’re welcome to enjoy the park – I’d recommend you take your ears over to Mad T Party!
Space for the event is limited and you must sign up here. Please remember the following:
All participants who sign up for the event must be 18 years or older, but guests do not need to be 18.
Meet-up confirmations are non-transferrable.
Confirmation will be for the accepted registered person plus one guest.
Valid photo I.D. will be required at check-in.
Park admission will be provided beginning at 7 p.m. for the event, but participants will be responsible for any parking fees.
I will give an update at the top of this post when capacity has been reached. Please note the event is subject to change or cancellation without notice.
Sign up now and come “Glow With the Show” with the Disney Parks Blog!

Anybody else get RSVP'd in time??

Me too! I'm so excited to be able to go, but a little bummed. I got myself registered and then went back to get DH signed up so we could both bring a friend, but too late. Guess they will have to entertain themselves for that time frame. DH already claimed his spot as my plus one. Seriously. He asked me if he could have that spot. :rotfl2:

We got in also. But if anyone on here is going, and needs a guest please let me know. We are a family of 3. The 30th is the day we arrive for my birthday and our 10 year anniversary trip. I don't expect the ears or park entrance, would just like my family to sit together. Would be willing to buy the ears if person didn't want but can just buy at a kiosk also. Hopefully someone can help spread some pixie dust our way. Congrats to all that are going

I might be able to help you out. I signed up, but I'm with a party of 12. Lol. Clearly, only 2 get to go. I suspect it will be an issue picking a kid so if none of the adults are interested in going, I will be happy to be your tinkerbell. :)

Let me discuss as I didn't tell anyone, just signed up, and see if anyone else is even interested.

If they aren't, you are welcome to my extra spot. I'll get back to you in a couple days if that's ok?

Just a note that the ears are going to be given free. People cannot offer to buy or sell them here on the DIS. :)

Thank you, if it works out fantastic, if not thank for even considering it. Feel free to pm me when you find out

Wasn't trying to offend anyone or break any rules, I just wanted to point out that I didn't expect someone to give me the ears. I really would just like my family to sit together.

I got it too. I must have been one of the last to sign up (about 25 minutes after it opened up) and alerted my friends, since we have dinner plans that night. Both said it was full. Hmm, what to do...invite one without the other? :confused3

So, has anyone ever done one of the meetups that can give me a little more insight on how it works. Does the check in process take very long? If we wanted to get in right at 7, do we need to get in line an hour before? Is there really any time to do anything in the park besides the WoC show? I'd imagine any fastpasses for RSR would be gone by the time we got in. What about after WoC? Any chance of being able to get in line and ride before the park closes. And, not that we would do this, but do they even know if you attend the WoC, or could you spend the 4 hours doing whatever else you wanted??

We actually have 2 1 day passes already, but we were going to use them in Ocober. Not really sure if it's worth it to use them when we are basically getting 4 hours free already, kwim?

When I told my husband I RSVP'd, he looked at me at said, "So you'd drive 7 hours there and 7 hours back, just to get in free for 4 hours?" uh, yeahh. Duh. :lmao:

I can't answer all your questions but on the rsvp I printed out it states checkin starts at 7 and closes at 8. You will have access to the park from 7pm til the park closes at 11. I am not sure how it works, but I would think they will give each person a wrist band or something, their ears and then let them enter the park and meet at a designated time where we are suppose to sit. Once again this is all just speculation on my part. But you are dedicated to drive 14 hours for this.

We did the Glow with the Show AP event last month. At check in time, you go to the main ticket booth and they give you a wristband. They will then give you instructions on where and when to meet. For our event, the line started at the Sun Wheel and at a given time they opened up the line and everyone walked around to pick up the ears, then went into the viewing area from there. Since the show is about 20 minutes long, you will have time to go on other rides afterward. If you get into the RSR line anytime before 11:00 you should be able to ride it. Once you have the ears, you can probably get out of the viewing area, nothing keeping you inside. When you come back in October you can bring the ears with you to see WOC. But I must say, it is very impressive to see the whole crowd with the flashing ears.
