Woohoo, going home again!!!

We usually go twice in twelve months, to use AP's and then skip a year. This has been our way, to keep the costs in check, especially since airfare out of Minneapolis is horrible. We went in Dec 00/Aug 01, then Dec 03/Oct 04. That time between trips is sooooooooooooooo long. We figured our next trip will be in 2006, very long time.

Well, somehow dh and I got to discussing when to go next, and he said he really liked the weather in October. OK, no way to go Oct this year, too late to book. BUT, 2006 is so far away.

So, Monday I call MS to bank some points, and just for fun I ask if they have any 1 bedrooms at the Boardwalk for the week of our teachers conventions in October. I didn't think they'd have anything, but thought maybe a preferred view. She comes back and says she has preferred view and standard view!!!!!!! I almost fell off my chair, and I think she did too. Of course I had to take it, just in case.

Dh and I did some discussing, and I bought airfare last night!!!!!!!!! We are going home in October, a year sooner than we thought. I'm so busy happy dancing today, can't get much done!!!!!

I haven't told the kids yet, they think we're not going until next year. I'm going to wait until it's much closer, than spring it on them. They're going to flip!

Sure, certainly not a bargain by any means, but the flight times were great and they are non stop.

Sun Country leaving the 15th, returning the 23rd, $273.90. We arrive on Saturday at 12:20 pm and leave Sunday at 1:10 pm. I checked other airlines and some had connecting flights for $269. I think I'll pay the extra $4 for direct. NWA was over $350. Last year I waited and Sun Country just went up and up, and I paid more than this, so I'm happy.

I'm still almost in shock that we're going again!

That's actually not too bad. I had to pay about the same cost flying out of Boston. I couldn't even get a direct flight ( in April) have to stop in Cincinnati first. Which reminds me of a dumb question I wanted to ask. I never not had a direct flight before in my life, when I arrive in Cincinnati, do I go get my luggage first, or do I just go to the gate the leaves to go to Orlando?

Just go to the gate, your luggage will be routed to the right place. Changing in Cincinatti, must be Delta? We connected there in Dec. of 03. I couldn't believe how much the airport had changed since I used to fly out of there as a kid. Have a great trip!

You know what this means don't you? Since you are already going this October. Might as well get the APs and go again within 12 months. Well, since you're planning on 2 trips within a year, maybe getting the DDE will be a good idea. And it's going to continue to snowball!

LOL, that was already a given to get the AP's, it's the only way we go . I conned dh into that trick on our first family trip in 2000 LOL. And of course we have to get the DDE too, why wouldn't we ?? With our AP discounts, it's even better to buy those now, and I have $800 in rewards on the Disney Visa to help pay for them!!!

That is a good price for a busy MPLS weekend. Cant beat direct flights and good departure times either-that is worth at least $100 a ticket in my mind. You should have plenty of time to hit a park on arrival date with that AP. Maybe MGM and Fantasmic or EPCOT and Wishes, then just walk back to your room is so stress free and peaceful. Have great time-we may see you there yet.

We're going with family and I've been holding out trying to get them a REALLY good deal on plane tickets. They're getting their rooms for free so don't know what my problem is!

I can't believe airfare went up from Saturday night when I first checked, until Sunday, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Oh well, it's better than last year right now, and my car rental is currently $70 cheaper than last year too!
