Ok, so I managed to find a pet friendly hotel very near to DL that doesn't charge an arm and leg ($20 per stay!). Thanks to those who posted on my thread yesterday about pet friendly hotels, I started checking out Red Lion. Then I did a search here for RL to see what else I could come up with and I found this thread a couple days ago:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2178536

In it a wonderful "helper" posted a link and a code for Red Lion..40% off now until the end of May with a code. As I was looking all this up, I noticed the pet policy stated that if you are a Red Lion club member, they waive the pet fee. So I just found the info for signing up and it is just basically like the loyalty cards at Albertsons or whatever. Sign up, get your savings on the spot :thumbsup2

Alright, so now I have my club card number in hand, I follow the link for the 40% off, and now not only is my $20 pet fee waived, the 40% takes my military rate of 129.00 to an awesome 83.xx!!!!!

So for 2 nights, after taxes and fees, with a pup, our total was 198.xx!!!! I know there are better rates out there that also offer breakfasts and maybe free parking, but the pet fees in other places were insane so all in all this is working out to be a steal!

Oh, and that's our only cost other than whatever food we choose. My DH can get in free under the current military deal and we have a good friend that is a cast member that is getting the other 3 of us in free! :dance3:

This is value season right? And according to all I've read, going mid week is optimal too? Could this be the perfect storm? :cheer2:

Well I don't know about it being value season but that's a great deal!!!! YAY for you!!!! I'm super excited for you guys!

Well, which week are you going? mid-week is great, yes, but if you're going this week, you're on the run-up to Memorial Day weekend so you might see crowds later in the week.

If you're going next week, from last year's experience, I noticed that the holiday crowds were gone on Monday, making most of the week rather pleasant.

We are leaving in a few minutes, going all day Wed. I figure we'll be gone by the time the crowds swarm.. Thursday/Friday?
