Woohoo for Martin's money tips

Does anybody else get Martins Money tips send to their email every week.

He keeps going on about the admin charges made by banks/building societies whe you switch mortages.

Well today he sent an e-mail to say that the banks/B/sco have opened dedicated phone lines as so many people have complained.

I dug out mu old paperwork from 3 years ago - made a 5 minute phone call and have been told I'll receive a refund in my bank for £138.50.

All I needed was the old mortgage account number and hey presto.

A big kiss for Martin Lewis i think.

If anybody else has ever switched mortgage get digging the paperwork out and if you were charged over £70 you could be in for a refund (+ interest from a few banks).

Yes I get the email every week, he helps a lot of people claim money whats due to them.
I tried with my Endowment, should mature at £26,000 on course for about £16,000. Unfortuantley I left it too late, even got a company to try for me but no luck I should have done something earlier.
I also made the mistake of paying full variable mortgage rate for a few years. Saw a Mortgage advisor 2 years ago and he got my payments down from £225/month to £175/month just renewed again for another 2 years at £183/month. How much money did I waste? I dread to think.

Excellent news! It is a shame that banks are able to get away with this! For every 10 people i bet only 1 complains or takes it further!
