My fiance has been deployed in S. Korea for the last year. He called this morning to tell me he will be flying home in a few weeks! I am so excited Yayyy! He is getting about a month's leave and we are taking a 5 day trip to Disney (where he has never been before) so I can show him everything we have planned so far, meet with Ken our WP & just relax. I got a 1 bedroom Villa @ Wilderness Lodge. Any ideas on romantic, fun things that a newcomer to Disney would appreciate? We really need some Quality Time Together!

Congratulations! That's so exciting :) I hope you all have a great time down in WDW!

Congratulations! I am sure you are just about to burst with excitement!

As for romantic, I think just sharing the time together, actually being able to plan your wedding TOGETHER would be the most romantic thing. Just take you time and enjoy eachother's company.... :cloud9:

Again, congratulations!

oh congratulations!!!! thats all i can say! Just enjoy each others company and enjoy planning your wedding!

Congratulations! I too agree with the other girls that just planning your wedding together is very romantic and nice. Take time to enjoy each other in the parks and ride the rides together. I would suggest a nice romantic sit down meal at the California Grill located at the Contemporary resort, and watch the Wishes firework show from there if you can. I think and someone please correct me if I am wrong but wishes starts at 9 p.m.

yeah katie, thats great news! youre giong to love the wilderness lodge, its so rustic & romantic. theres a carriage ride or fireworks hayride at ft. wilderness which is nice its right next store to wl & can be reached by the walkway or boat. maybe get a spa treatment at the wl healthclub or the gf spa. take advantage of the emh at the parks, enjoy the views at wl & just enjoy this special time together. when are you going on your 5 day?

we leave for our wedding trip march 16th, ahh less than 7 weeks now :bride:

The start time for Wishes varies by day. If it's a priority for your trip, you should always check the times before you go and consult the current times guide when you get to the resort. The times can change.

Congratulations! That is such great news you must be on :cloud9: . The spa is awesome (a bit pricey but a wonderful way to relax). I love Cinderella's royal table and California Grill during wishes.....a horse drawn carraige ride also sounds wonderful. hey your in Disney how could you go wrong ;)

Congratulations and have fun! I love the WL. I think it is one of the most romantic resorts and just beautiful with the landscape, the water, the lobby, it is really nice. If you want a romantic dinner at the resort try Artist Point. The food is outstanding. DH and I find Wishes to be very romantic :lovestruc and we stake out a spot to watch it about 30 minutes before it starts. It's become very special and a "must do" for us, even when we just go for a day trip.

Best wishes on your wedding and marriage!
