WOO HOO New Toy Arrived!

Mr. Fed Ex delivered to me yesterday my sony alpha 300! I'm so excited! I'm a complete novice but eager to learn all that I will be able to do!

I was out playing using mostly the pre-set modes. I did buy a book I saw mentioned on the boards called "understanding exposure" Does anyone else have a book that they found helpful?

I was also excited to see that my neighborhood community center has the stream running from one pond to the other so I hope to play with shutter speed to get that cool flowing water look. Well thanks for taking the time to read my post! You all have been very helpful during my decision making process!

If I'm not mistaken, forum rules state that when you get a new toy, you must promptly post some sample pictures for all of us to oooh and aaaah over or forfeit your new toy to the 2nd poster of the thread.

I hope tonight to upload some pics, once DH takes one son to a baseball game, the other son goes to a school dance and its just me and DD. I may have some quiet time.

However, I do agree about the forum rules.....

Make sure you take some pics inside too. People always show off beautiful outdoor shots, which are great too of course. But I always want to know what it's going to do inside.

I have the Understanding Exposure book too and love it. I don't have the great camera yet, but I have the book.

I don't have the inside pics yet. I'll have to take one of the couch or something, LOL

Must I? LOL I have one of our BBQ grill today with a water droplet hitting it when we had a down pour earlier. I'll have to upload it. But not today, too much to do and not enough time. My Laundry is calling me!! UGH!
