WOO HOO! ME tags have arrived!!!

I am so thrilled!! Our ME luggage tags arrived today by FedEx!!! We leave next Sunday, 29th. I am happy, happy! WDW here we come!!!

I was told by MS the tags would arrive 21 days prior to departure. Has anyone received them 21 days prior to departure?

Caskar- I talked to ME 21 days before our trip and they said they would send them any time from 21 days before our trip. So the earliest we would get them could be 21 days before trip, but we just received them today. I am just happy to get them!

When I spoke to ME two days ago or so they said that they are now getting the tags out by Fed Ex 10days before a trip. Not sure if that helps!

I would just make sure you call ME prior to leaving to make sure they have your flight info. I called on Tuesday and gave it to them and called again yesterday (Friday) and they once again did not have my flight info in the system. I guess it probably doesn't matter in the long run as some people have traveled without tags at all, but I don't see how they can keep "losing" my information.

Our tags arrived yesterday -- Friday (after being sent to the wrong address 3 days earlier) and we leave next Saturday. Flight info and travelers all correct. We're ready to roll!

I rarely, if ever, have ranted on these boards, but I am feeling very frustrated with WDW's new ME just now. My info is in their system, including flight info, and has been for about 5 weeks. They have the correct address. I leave very early on May 25 but still have no tags. I don't have much faith that I will get them as others whose dates are later than mine have already received their's. Where did I/they go wrong?? No, don't answer, that's a rhetorical rant.

I know, I know, it's a new system, they'll get the kinks worked out, etc. BUT this is the first disney trip for us for wh/ I did not rent a car and I was so excited about the new DME. Now, I'm nervous and annoyed to have to be nervous. I'm scared we'll be one of the unlucky ones (Bags delayed or lost, etc.) for whom the experience is a nightmare all b/c we don't have tags. I wish WDW had worked out more of the kinks b/f it launched its new system.

OK, thanks for letting me vent. I feel a little better and will consider if I just want to bite the bullet and rent a car to calm myself...

I'm SO EXCITED!!!

I've been planning this trip for almost a year now and am so excited that it is finally coming!

Got a call from my AAA rep. yesterday and picked up the M.E. tags today. Even got my traveler's checks and called the airline to double check my flight (we changed it 3 times!!!). Well, everything is correct and I am so happy that all my planning is starting to pay off.


Now, I just have to finish our daily itineraries. I know, I'm obsessed. But I'm obsessed with Disney and is there really anything wrong with that???

I'm right there with ya, Took!! We leave early on 5/24 and have yet to recieve our tags!!!!! Although this isn't our first trip to WDW, I hate to be nervous about our vacation. I'm sure everything will work out for both of us, but I do agree about wishing Disney would have worked out all the "kinks" before starting this service. I guess I will just have to go through all the trouble of making the tags, describing my luggage, worrying if my bags will get lost or really late to our room....etc, etc
