Woo-Hoo! I just saved $160 on my flights!

I got "dinged" about an hour ago, but there was nothing that I needed on sale. But figured while I was checking I'd look and see if there were any lower priced flights available on the days I already have booked and there were!! Our original flight from MHT to ABQ was going to stop in BWI with a two hour layover. I changed to a flight 45 minutes earlier, got a 1 hour layover in Chicago, and we arrive in ABQ over an hour earlier.... PLUS I SAVED $160!! We are "tentatively" planning on going to WDW in January.... hopefully this will help convince DH that we "must" go in order to use our credits! WOO-HOO!! If I had worked as a substitute teacher today I would have only earned $60! This is far better! Just had to share my excitement! Plus, I must comment on how incredibly easy it was to change my itinerary on-line with SWA with no hassles at all! I actually got $160 in credits plus a $6 cash refund!................P

I know this has been asked, but when you find a beeter price thru "DING", how did you rebook it?? Makes me very nervous!!

Well..... I didn't rebook through "ding" but I imagine that the procedure is the same/similar. I put in the my existing reservation and it gives you the option to "change itinerary" and after that it was very simple. I did have the SWA person on the phone with me when I started it, just to be sure, but after the first step I realized that I would be fine and I let her go. I would hope that it would be equally easy using "ding"........Good Luck!.............P

I am so jealous of your low fares on SWA. We do not have an option such as SWA out of the MSP hub. The best we get is Sun Country and their fares are very close to Northwest Airlines. So its not that big of a discount.

I am going to have to relocated to Chicago just so I can fly cheaper.

Just because you got a lower fare doesn't mean you should stop watching, though! For some reason, this past week during the FL sales, I noticed that the fares were even LOWER than our Ding! fare, so I now have a $60 credit! LOL

It's all good, I'm just holding it for our next WDW trip . Beware, though, that credits are only good for one year.
