Won't this ruin pin trading for everyone?

This is a quote I found on a seller page on ebay.

HERE IS A GREAT WAY TO BUY YOUR DISNEY PINS FOR LESS THAN $2.00 EACH!! ALL OF THESE PINS HAVE THE DISNEY COPYRIGHT ON THE BACK. THIS MEANS THEY CAN ALL BE TRADED AT THE PARKS WITH DISNEY CAST MEMBERS. AS A COLLECTOR MYSELF I KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE IT CAN GET BUYING PINS IN THE PARKS. WHY PAY $6.95 AND UP WHEN YOU CAN BUY THEM FOR UNDER $2.00 EACH?? I KNOW THAT THEY ARE NOT THE PRETTIEST PINS YOU CAN BUY AND THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE THE ONES YOU BUY AT DISNEY BUT, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO TRADE THEM FOR ONE'S TO KEEP FOR YOUR COLLECTION.



Now who the heck wants to see a bunch of "ugly" pins on all the CM lanyards??? And from the picture, many of them were rather ugly!!

It's true, some people just don't care. Unfortunate. I've begged and pleaded with people all the time not to buy cheap-o pins, when they can get quality pins for not much greater expense, but too many just want to save a buck, most often saying things like, "My kids don't care about the value of the pins, they just trade for characters they like!" The problem there, of course, is that the argument implies that people who argue against using pins like Sedesma and Propins are in it for the value of the pins when that's not really the case at all. Most of us just hate seeing lanyards filled with cheap looking junk. No consideration is given to people other people trading with the CMs. In reality, when you trade with a CM, you are really trading with other guests by proxy.

Good quality pin traders don't have to be expensive. Just say no to Sedesma and Pro-Pins!

I have stated several times on the Theme Parks Board - If you put junk on the lanyards, then all you have is junk and you cannot complain.

Some people feel that Disney will refresh the lanyards with better pins a couple of times a day. There are CMs who will refresh their lanyards but I think most do not (especially those who are forced to wear a lanyard by their Mgr.).

I agree. I will not buy any pro pins ar sedesma either. I bought a "lot" from one guy off of e-bay and 2 pro pins were in it. I was furious and will not buy from him again.

I trade what I hope to trade for quality wise.
