Due to job requirements I did not have time to DIS for a couple of months very often. I just read that Wonders of Life is now SEASONAL..what is up with that??

I thought Body Wars was still considered a major attraction in Future World, why would they eliminate a major ride in FW when they have so few???

Is something new planned for this area that they closing it except for during busy times?? Any info is helpful, the SEARCH Feature is not working here.

Thanks..

Hi Blueberry,

Welcome back. Wonders of Life had been experiencing declining guest visits for a while, and Body Wars hasn't been a big draw since the opening of Test Track. Mission:Space was another big blow, and combined with the lack of sponsorship, was probably too much to bear. So it's seasonal now.

Hope this helps!

Len

Thanks Len,

I noticed last couple of trips that there is never a line anymore for Body Wars. Years ago you always had to stand in line, even in off season to ride. Nowadays it seems to be a walk on and was looking like it needed a rehab for quite awhile. Notice how bad the pre-boarding movie has looked....

Very sad I did like Wonders of Life and many liked the Simple Pleasures food stand...:(

Well, to tell you the truth, Body Wars was kind of a rough ride. You get bounced around a lot more then on Star Tours in MGM. That I won't really miss, and I do remember when it first opened, you couldn't get near the thing. And lately, it has been amazingly quiet. But I'll have to say one thing about the place, those Wonder Cycles were always crowded. Even on our last trip, even though the place was like a ghost town, those cycles had people waiting to ride them. I also noticed that the CMs did not look very happy about being there. Maybe they knew what was coming. Hopefully Disney will find other spots for them.

Body Wars makes me and most of my family sick :( . THis is including DH who rode Mission Space twice back to back w/o the slightest bit of motion sickness. There's just something about this one... ugh!!

It makes my DH sick too and he loves Mission to Space.
I will miss Cranium Command though, loved that one.
In September we did notice there did not seem to be any Anatomical Players shows going on at all, which we found strange..maybe that was due to lower crowds in there...

Does anyone know they do plan to replace Wonders of Life with a new pavilion or are they going to leave it the way it is??

I feel old, I remember well when Wonders of Life was the new pavilion and as they said it was hard to get to do anything in there.....

If you go to jimhillmedia.com, and search the archives for Project Gemini, you will find information regarding Wonders of Life. He seems to think that they are going to take it down as part of the project and leave it, as Disney would call it, "future developement". Some people don't think Jim Hill is correct on some of the things he says, but I have found that he can be quite accurate. Some of his stuff is for projects a ways into the future, but they do happen. Having said that, you will find some real interesting info about Disney and project gemini at his site. ::MickeyMo
