Wonders of Life Demolition

Disney can be moronic. Shrinking their offerings won't bring in more people. You'd think the US and Disney Land expansions would of taught them this by now.
If they think they are too big then at least refurb what you have until attendance picks up. That is if the refurbishment doesn't bring more people in.
I haven't been back to WDW in 6 years because it has done nothing but shrunk. I'm thinking about rectifying that soon when they get the FL renovation done and /or maybe another land added to the AK.
Imagine that, they add new things and I consider visiting...

Can't wait, to keep walking past that area. :tiptoe:

lol never understood closing it?? The park has had severe capacity issues ever since!

because they never updated it. It was a ghost town even on a busy day. After the 90's I cant ever remember there being more than a handful of people there.

I do thing more meeting space, etc is a bad idea like the old restaurant behind test track. Would be a great place to demo and rebuild something new and exciting. With all that space maybe even several new attractions to a future world that's becoming stale

I think they should just gut the interior and make a new-age attraction. Keep Epcot's namesake and build something futuristic, or at least something that utilizes unseen technology. Few people go in there for festivals, and I can't see how tearing down such an interesting building could be weighed with meeting space.

Shh Forestbis trying to whisper something to me.

He says "Stupid is as stupid does."

Stop demolishing the life out of epcot. Please breathe new life into this park with new attractions, heck i'd even take another world showcase country. At least that way Disney can still use it to their advantage with all the festivals they have. Bahhh, Epcot needs more than a new Test track.

I guess they are hoping the alcohol sales at MK will make people forget that the pavilion was ever there!:rotfl2:

Appears that some demolition work is scheduled for the old Wonders of Life building. Rumors are that the areas occupied by Body Wars and Cranium Command are going to be coverted into more conference and meeting space.

Sure, it could be something major (although it's hard to imagine Disney spending a lot of money to open up space they don't currently need for anything else).

But it could also be something as simple as removing some walls in the old MetLife sponsor lounge on the second floor. Chase Bank is using that space this year (for the first time) as a lounge for Disney Visa Cardmembers during the 2012 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.

See http://disneyrewards.com/offers/epcotfoodandwinesept12

With Chase footing the bill, I can see Disney doing just enough to make that space usable and attractive for its new purpose.
