Wonder's EBPC 9/12/14 Who's Going With Us!

Love this idea. I'm one of those people who prefers a book over a kindle and usually bring at least half a dozen books when I cruise.

And we will now be friends. My dad and I read 14 books total on a week cruise. And my friends and co-workers give me such crud because in my purse/tote there's at least 2 fictions, my textbook, and a magazine and refuse to get a ereader.

Does anyone know who is in charge of the FE list. Our stateroom changed. Also is there a link to a Facebook group? Thank you all for your help and we are so happy to be on this cruise. And a special hello to Janice and Trevor who were out dinner mates on the Hawaii cruise.

Hi Pam!! :yay:

How was Alaska?

We love the book exchange idea! We should keep track of these ideas on the main page. I haven't been able to access the Facebook page either, but I think the person in charge of it is/was on vacation for a while.

I think I remember reading that it was Padalyn -dis name organizing the FB page. Should be back this week...

Well, how is everyone doing on this fine Thursday morning? Huh? How are ya'll doin'? Me? Oh I am fine............thanks for asking!!

I heard it thru the grapevine.......................that would make a nice title to a song............I heard it thru the grapevine..................anyway............I heard that Padalyn is back. So, how was your TA cruise, give us all the details!!! :thumbsup2

Last night at work (which was CHAOS! Like seriously my set was great and I had great RNs, but I was helping the other aides on the floor who had like super sloths as RNs and needed me there all the time....) I kept repeating "456 days until the cruise..." my RN was like "just because you keep saying it doesn't mean it's coming any closer...." Yep, but it's my reminder that in 453 days I will be headed to Southern California, going to Miguel Jrs, getting some best friend time, getting tattooed, seeing my grandparents, and then Disney boat it.

I think the Miguel Jrs is kinda' more exciting than the cruise. That and my sister's best friend, who I adore, is an amazing tattoo artist based out of San Diego (well San Diego and Ventura, she is trying to base herself out of San Diego...). She did my sheep tattoo on my ankle. I want her to do a cherry blossom and an orange blossom piece on my wrist and I'm not heading down south until the cruise. Yep, I'm the gal getting tattooed right before going to Mexico! Tattoos, Miguel's, and a Disney cruise! I'm not an Inland Empire girl at all... :rotfl2:

Sorry to hear your work last night was so hectic. That RN sounds like she is jealous cause she ain't goin' on the cruise!!!:rotfl:

The tattoo sounds like a good one. I have a couple myself. You are going to have to watch getting into the water for about a couple of weeks with your new tattoo. You shouldn't chance getting it soaked and especially in the ocean - salt water. You can wash it with mild soap and pat it dry in the shower. But, I'm sure you already know these things. Do you use tattoo goo? I did with mine and it is a good product. :thumbsup2

Curious, do you think they have a character breakfast on this cruise? There are more than enough sea days for it. They don't do character breakfasts on the Fantasy and we really missed it on our last cruise.

Also, my husband is already coming up with FE gift ideas, some of which are quite brilliant. I'm still toying with what I want to make. I have some ideas swirling around in my head too. :) Less than 15 months to go...

I am still confused re: FE gifts since we've never done it before. What have you all given/gotten in the past...I need ideas.

We've been on two prior cruises and the characters are pretty much everywhere except the adults only areas. If you're traveling with kids, they will see/meet them on deck, in dining rooms, they have story time in the atrium/lobby, in the children's areas-- just about everywhere.

Shelljay,
It's our first time as well and from what I understand, it's pretty much anything you want- interesting/ neat things that you might find from your home city/state or things that would be a good reminder of the cruise. I get the feeling items are fairly small because of logistics, such as key chains. (Personally, I'm designing luggage tags with the cruise logo/ info and a couple of other items and then I'll have them made in bulk depending on how many are in the exchange -- Nobody 'steal' my idea, please

Just booked our cruise and I'm so excited to find this forum. This will be my third Disney cruise and the longest so far. My mother and I will be sailing together for the first time. We are staying in a cat 9 oceanview stateroom with a port hole. I used my DVC points and mom paid cash for her portion.

We are planning on flying out the day before, and go shopping for the few items we don't want to weigh us down on the flight :thumbsup2. I have been looking around the internet for a hotel to stay in. Can anybody recommend somewhere that doesn't cost $200 a night between the airport and the port that isn't a roach motel? :confused3

Anyone joining us on this cruise who would like to join our Facebook Group please PM Cayla, (Padalyn), and include your email address that is associated with you facebook account. Cayla will then add you so you may join the group.
Note: Cayla will be unavailable from May 17th to June 10th, this year, but as soon as she gets back she assures me she will get you signed up!!![/

QUESTION ABOUT BRUNCH: I signed up but I'm wondering how we do it on the 12th or is that date just listed because it is the first day of the cruise? Thanks!

Also, I'll create ( or try) to do a google form for car pool (DL-Port) so anyone who is interested will be linked up. We are 6 so far, so I think a first van is filling!
