I agree, I think if the FE group gets to big we need to split it into 2 or 3 or whatever groups. On our last cruise last December we had something like 75 cabins. Everyone wanted to keep each individual group to no more then 25. So we had 3 FE groups. And it was up to each individual cabin if they wanted to give to just their group or 2 groups or all 3, that was up to you. As far as the cutoff date, I can't remember if it was 6 or 8 weeks from the sail date. Would that give you, Beverly, enough time to get the final FE list in order and sent out to all of those participating in the FE? This is just a suggestion, what does everyone think?

My opinion is no more than about 25 also - since it seems so far that most cabins (right now) are only two adults I think 25 would be very manageable. If we get a TON of people with more than 2 in a cabin, might want to cut that back to 20 or less........

Also, since everyone is basically entering their info into the form for me, I think that 6 weeks out should be fine. That will give me a week to work the splits and then you guys all 5 weeks to prepare your gifts.

I started reading your trip report jjje. You are doing a GREAT job!! How lucky are you to be able to get another Disney Cruise in before this one. I am sooooooooooo jealous!!!

Also, I wanted to wish everyone a very happy Wednesday!!! I am sorta down in the dumps today though...................my first day back to work after being off for 4 days. I know, I know, I know.......it is sad ain't it!!!!

Luckly, I had backuped everything. Some programs I still had to manually reinstall, but the most important things the photo's and videos were safe. So, everyone out there, please remember to back up your files frequently so they will not get lost.

Good reminder to everyone.. BTW for anyone that looking for some backup automation, check into Crashplan, they offer a paid service but you don't need to go for the paid service, the app is very flexible and free and will allow you to backup to a external drive or even to another computer with the app installed on it. Keep those photos, videos and document safe.

OK, I know this is WAY early to probably ask, but want your opinions on this -

We're already up to 13 cabins in the FE and this cruise is ~18 mos away.

Question 1: If we get to (insert number here) I would like to split the group into two or more FE groups - and if not, tell me that too!

Question 2: The cut-off date for this FE signup should be (insert date here)


Just because I volunteered to do the FE list - I don't want to make anyone feel like I am dictating to them on anything.....if you have ANY comments, questions, suggestions, please feel free to post them!

It really isn't too early to ask. This issue has caused a lot of strife on past cruises. That being said- we will give to all no matter how many cabins are on the list(s). Most lists are split into groups of 25 in my history of FE exchanges. Quite often there are many who give to all cabins - and more that give to a specific number of cabins...all personal choice of course!

The largest FE exchange I have ever done was 125 cabins (I think it was that many) for the first Hawaii cruise. We went to 5 threads before we sailed...amazing group of people. I have gifted to over 210 on one cruise (I did individual gifts for the Fantasy Maiden - whew!)

Cathy and I are signed up - we will be coming up on our first anniversary (Oct 12) and this cruise will be part of the celebration (unofficially).

Cathy and I have 2 cruises booked prior to this one - so we will be spending a lot of time on those threads, our wedding planning, and many other things...so if I don't post often, please excuse my absences.

Is there a FB page yet? Cathy does FB more than Dis (Her Dis Name is Halloween_Gryl) but she doesn't post very often at all.

I made it a secret group, this way no one can see the posts...I think you might have to ask permission to join - find the group and ask - but also give your DisName and PM me here (if you include your email address that is attached to FB I can invite you that way if you are unable to locate the group). I am doing this to keep the group limited to the folks on this thread/cruise.

David - I searched this thread and didn't find one - so I made one. My fiance (who will be my wife be the time we cruise on THIS cruise) is more FB than I...but, I think I did it right!

As far as a name? They seem to range far and wide! The name for the cruise we are leaving on in less than 40 days is in Spanish! I love it!!
