Wonderland tea vs Princess Tea for a 4 year old?

My DD4 loves all the princesses. We have been to WDW several times and are going again in November. To do something different this time, I made a reservation for the 2 of us at the Princess Tea. I think she would enjoy dressing up as Aurora and seeing her at the party.

I know its expensive, but this has been a very hard year for my family (not financially) and I decided to go ahead and do this as a special treat. But now I am second guessing myself and wondering if she is a little too young to really enjoy it. Would she prefer something like the Wonderland tea party?

Honestly, one reason I did the princess tea is because *I* want to go, and we wouldn't have that with the Wonderland tea. Also, she doesn't really know Alice, but I have the movie tucked away and I could pull it out and talk up Alice.

Thoughts?

Well my four year old niece went last summer and ABSOLUTELY loved it. She is a big Aurora fan though and that is mostly why I did it for her. She is sometimes (often) not the easiest child but she was simply enchanted by the whole event and behaved wonderfully.

So if you want it -- go for it.

I had it booked for my almost 4 yr old and then changed my mind till she is a little older.. she told me she just wanted to go to the breakfast with Alice and Pooh and Mary Poppins... and then go for a pony ride.. much cheaper! Especially since we are on the dining plan!

My DD did both tea parties when she was 4. She preferred the Princess Tea since it was something we could do together. She liked the Wonderland Tea as well, but wanted me to stay with her, which parents cannot do.

I'm taking our 4dd to the Princess Tea Party in Oct. She is soooo excited to be doing this with me! princess:

Here's a vote for the Wonderland Tea Party. My DD4 did this during our last trip and LOVED it!!! All the kids get to decorate a cupcake and play games with the Wonderland characters.

My DD was thrilled that it was for kids only and felt very grown up getting to do this alone. Afterall, we spent all week together at the parks, so this was pretty exciting for her to get one on one time with the characters.

I haven't done the expensive tea yet, but think it sounds nice if #1. the cost isnt prohibitive, and #2. your daughter is all about Aurora.

Have fun!

Thanks all. We are fortunate and the cost is really not an issue. I am just wondering if a) DD4 will like being left alone and if that might be better when she is a little older and b) *I* would like to be there, LOL!
