My 2 DD age 7 and 4 will be going to the tea party on Oct. 12th. I have read about what they do but not about what to wear. Do most girls wear nice dresses or should I make them an Alice in Wonderland t-shirts? Also any tips on things they should take with them like a camera?

About 50% of the girls were dressed up as princesses. They could really wear just about anything.

The girls don't need to take anything. You'll have a picture opp when it's over. Plus they will get a character photo too. It was a good time.

I have a couple of pictures from the party in my signature.

Do the kids get any kind of gift/souvineer from the tea party or the pirates cruise? My DD-10 is going to the alice tea party for her birthday with her cousin. And my son will be attending the GF pirates cruise...they are both very excited!!!
tia!

They get an autographed picture from the tea party and a little treasure chest from the pirate cruise. I think I have a picture of it in my link.

My daughter loved THIS! She was the youngest in the group...they were ages 3-9 yrs old (she was 3). THey made a little flower boquet and had tea and played games.

She wore her normal clothes...about 1/2 were dressed in princess clothes. Wear whatever she will be comfy wearing. They do sit on the floor and play games.

There was one little boy :groom: there that looked rather resentful. Poor kid - but the CMs played with him too and made sure he had some fun.

:Pinkbounc We're going to WDW sooooo sooooon! :Pinkbounc

My girls have gone three times. I would say it is pretty split - some girls just wear shorts and tops, some wear dresses and some wear princess outfits. The first time dds wore skirts and princess tops, second time they wore a princess outfit and this time they wore Alice in Wonderland costumes (purchased at GF shop). They have always had a really good time and especially love the Mad Hatter!

I previously saw a tip from someone to send a cheap disposable camera in with the girls. You never know what kind of cute pictures the girls will make! It's fun to see what they did since you won't be able to go with them.

My DD4 did both the Wonderland Tea Party and the Disney Princess Tea Party. She LOVED the Alice one so much more!!! She said the Mad Hatter was SO funny!! The day she went most of the little girls just had on park clothes (t-shirts and shorts.) 3 girls had on Alice dresses. My mom is a great seamstress and made an adorable Alice dress for my DD. She's wearing it again for Halloween.
She wants to do this again on our next trip...I like the disposable camera idea!! :flower:

Here she is...

could u please tell me how much you paid for the alice dress in disney? I`m having a hard time finding one here, looked on ebay...............no luck, problem is my daughter is a big 9 (she needs at least a size 14 dress)
tia

It was less expensive than the "princess" dresses we've previously bought. I think I paid $40 for the dress and both dds are wearing it for Holloween!

My daughter dressed in a skirt and coordinating top with sandals and her hair up. She had a blast...she said they played games, drank tea and ate cupcakes. She received a photo with Alice and Mad Hatter which they autograph and she made me a bouquet of flowers. Most girls were dressed up in her group, a couple in princess outfits and a few in park clothes, there were 2 boys in her group too and they looked very handsome.

I gave her a disposable camera, but it was later lost in Liberty Square, oh well

Thanks for all of the info! I am excited for my girls. It is a surprise for them. It sounds like so much fun. They should have a one way mirror for the parents to watch. :flower3:

good idea to put sticky return addresses on every disposable camera u havem this way if you lose one, some kind considerate person will mail it back to you.....................I know i would be so sad if a camera of mine got lost from disney. I insisted my dh take one to a phillies game he was taking my son to...............well they lost it, and the pictures that were on there were from the Phila Mummers parade too........I was crying, since then every disposable gets a return address sticker on it!

great idea scorpad, will remember that for the future, not often I use a disposable, but they do come in handy once in awhile...Thanks!
