Wonderland Tea Party

Have signed up to take DD's to Wonderland Tea Party at GF. Anyone with any thoughts? Its only an hour and parents not allowed, how should we spend the time?

When our boys were doing the pirate cruise out of GF, we went to GFCafe and had the most wonderful brunch. It was relaxing and delicious and one of our favorite memories. But you could easily spend an hour just meandering around the resort - the shops upstairs are fun and the grounds are beautiful. We ended up there on a rainy evening and spent about an hour just wandering. It will fly by!!

Dd has done it twice. The first year Dh and I walked around the GF looking at the Christmas decorations, and had a drink at the pool bar.

The 2nd time I made reservations for the Mother in Law and I at the Garden View tea room. We did the grand tea while Dd was inside. I snuck out and picked her up and took her back in with me. The grand tea was very good and dd sat and told us about her tea while we finished up.

If a guest of the resort there is the pool. Otherwise, consider the pool bar, renting a sea racyer boat (best with DD though) take the water launch down to the poly and take the walkway back to the GF...you could grab a drink or browse the stores at PR/GF.

Just back and my girls did the Tea Party on 2/11 and loved it! They had a blast! My mom and I grabbed a sandwich at the CS location in the GF and then just shopped the stores (I could have spent the entire hour in Basin upstairs). We had thought about a reservation at the GF cafe but their last one was at 2:00 and we didn't leave the girls until a couple minutes past, so we decided to just wing it instead! It was fun!

We had a late lunch at the GF Cafe. My husband had what he proclaimed to be the best sandwich ever. Here's the description (from allears.net):

The Grand Sandwich - Open-faced hot Turkey, Ham, Bacon and Tomato, with a rich Boursin Cheese Sauce and Fried Onion Straws $11.99

They also have little mini desserts.

You can also stroll the grounds, have a nice drink by the pool/beach area and just RELAX.

My daughter LOVED that tea party. She had the best time. Go for it!
