Hello! I wanted to know what everyone's thoughts were on the Wonderland Tea Party. Have your kids been? Did they enjoy it? Did they dress up for it?

I have this booked for my dd(7) during our trip in May. I love to hear everything about it. :goodvibes

I had thought about it for dd but changed my mind and am booking for the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party instead. I know the cost difference is HUGE but, we feel that dd is getting more out of it with getting the special Disney doll, bracelet, scrapbook pages and best friends certificate PLUS, it is something we can do as mother/daughter together. I also didn't like the fact that we leave dd at the Wonderland Tea Party. I like the idea of me being able to be with her. I know dd will be more comfortable going with me versus alot of strangers. Another place you can meet Alice in Wonderland is booking the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at the GF called the Supercalifragilicious Character Breakfast. Alice and the Mad Hatter are here. We are doing that too. Goodluck whatever you decide and I'm sure someone will guide you to more information, pictures on the Wonderland Tea Party too. The Disboard is of GREAT help always:thumbsup2 IF, the search engine is up and running on the disboard site, you can always type up Wonderland Tea Party and see what pops up. GOODLUCK TO YOU;)

My DD went at the age of 6 and absolutely loved it! We did the Perfectly Princess tea party the year before, and honestly, she seemed to like the Wonderland Tea Party much better. She wore an Alice in Wonderland t-shirt. A few girls wore dresses but most were in regular clothes.

I would definitely recommend it, as would my DD. Afterwards, she said to me, "I had so much fun! Thank you so much for letting me go there!" That says a lot!

We did the Perfectly Princess Tea Party two years ago. It has not changed enough for me to be willing to pay for it again. LOL!! It is a wonderful party. You and your dd should have a grand time!

I am not worried about her meeting Alice since we have seen her in Park countless times. Each trip I try to include a special event and this looked like fun. The only thing I am hesitant on is leaving her.

Thanks for your input!

I have heard from numerous people that thier dds liked this tea party better. I hope this is the case with dd! On another site I saw that some parent elected to watch the festivites. Did this happen when you went? When I booked it the CM said that it was not allowed. I am curous to see what the policy really is.

Thanks for your input!

I'm very interested in this too. We went to the My Disney Girl's Tea party in 2006 and my dd really enjoyed it. But I simply can't afford it this time. I think she'd love the Alice in Wonderland tea party too.

Does anyone know the cost and details of this, please?

where can I find out more about this? Do you have to have children to go to it or can adults go by themselves? I totally would love to go to tea with the mad hatter and alice and everyone! lol. I'm such a big kid!

We've got DD4 (she'll be 5 when we go) booked for this also. We always do one special thing for her. Last year it was CRT, this year the tea party. We gave her the choice of this or the pirate cruise, and she went back and forth before choosing the Wonderland Tea. I'm happy we're leaving her. It's important for kids to get a little independent IMHO. We'll have a beeper, and I'm going to be hanging in the lobby reading a book, so I'm not worried. I figure, if Disney had a habit of losing kids or having the Mad Hatter torture them while their parents were away I'd have heard about it by now.

My DS (7) & DD (5) went in November and had a very good time. They enjoyed their lunch and playing with Alice & The Mad Hatter.

DD did wear an Alice costume that she received that day for her "unbirthday" and DS -- well, he wore the Colts jersey he got!

DS was a very good sport about going with his little sister -- she went with him on the pirate cruise last summer. But I think they both had fun. They grow up so fast it is good to have them just be kids for a couple of hours.

While they were there, DH & I had a nice lunch at The Grand Floridian Cafe.

If your daughter is into Disney characters, I think she'll have a wonderful time.:ccat:

Scroll through the GF FAQ thread and there are some wonderful pictures there that Lives4Disney posted of her adorable daughters at the Tea Party.

She also gives you a brief but informative review.

No, no parents were allowed to attend. When we were waiting to pick our kids up, a couple of the mothers were trying to peek in spaces between the curtains in the windows, and all the kids started shouting something like, "No parents allowed!"

I am thinking to give dd an Alice dress as an unbirthday gift that day. Each year we have gone I have done this. She loves it!
