I just reserved a spot for my daughter to attend the Wonderland Tea party in September because she's a big Alice fan! She's 4 years old and I was wondering if anyone could share their children's experiences and/or any photos you might have? Also, any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :goodvibes

Thanks so much in advance!!!

My DDs (7 and 3) went last December and seemed to really enjoy it. They got to take some flowers and a small stuffed bear with them. They also got a pic of themselves with Alice and the Mad hatter. Here is a pic of the table.

Oh, thanks for the picture! This tea party sounds really cute! Anyone else out there have any experience with this???

My DDs 6 and 4 loved this. They had a lot of fun playing game, and cute decoration and food. I am not sure they change the surprise at the end of party. But if not, don't miss it.

My DD was 6 when she attended this, and she had a blast. She was very excited about it afterwards, and talked about the games they played. She even said, "I had so much fun! Thank you for taking me there." That made me so happy! I let her take a disposable camera to take some pictures.

The picture in my signature is of her outside the GF with the flower arrangement she made.

I would definitely recommend this.

We have ressies for this, for DDs 8 & 10 (she'll turn 11 while we are at WDW). My question is this: is she going to feel out of place doing this, being too old? We did the Princess Tea Party last year and she said she felt very out of place and old for this. My younger DD fit in age wise but she is just a pirate kind of girl and the tea party was very boring to her, so will she like the Wonderland Party as well? Thank you in advance for any responses.

It's possible that she might feel out of place. The day my DD went, it seemed that most of the girls were more in the 5-6 yr old range.

Have you looked into the Pirate Cruise? I've read about it and will probably reserve this for my DD next year.

Yes, we have a ressie for this for younger DD. She is hoping it will be fun.

Hmm...now you've got me wondering ;) I'll make sure we don't miss the "surprise" at the end!

:cool1: I'm glad your daughter enjoyed this so much! I really think my dd will too, as long as the mad hatter doesn't :scared1: the pants off her! lol I think giving her a disposable camera is a great idea! The flower arrangement is too cute!

Oh where is this at and what is it? I have never heard of it and DD is a big Alice fan!

It's called Wonderland Tea Party and it is held at the Grand Floridian. When we are there it will be at the GF cafe since 1900 Park Faire will be in refurbishment. It is held Monday through Friday at 1:30pm for about $29 per child ages 3 to 10. From what I understand, the kids make cupcakes, arrange flowers, and have lunch and tea with the characters from Alice in Wonderland! How fun is that?! :) You can make reservations by calling 407-WDW-DINE
HTH! :goodvibes

Nothing to add, because we've never done it either. I do have my DD(also 4) signed up for the one on Sept. 24th. I was just wondering when your DD was doing it? I'm leaving DH and DS back at the resort to hang out. If you happen to be doing the same day and want to hang out and get a drink or snack while we wait, PM me.

Oh darn! I would have loved that!
I have my dd signed up for the one on September 25. Since it was last minute, that was the only time I could squeeze it in because we have so many other ADR's with the free dining. I am a little worried though...she gets scared of giant size characters in costumes :lmao: and I think the mad hatter is going to scare the daylights out of her :sad2: Thanks for the offer though :)

Does anyone else out there have anything to add?? I'm counting on all of you fellow Dissers out there since we've never been to WDW before! :goodvibes
