Wonderland Tea Party question

Hi! I posted this on another thread,too, to get all the input I can. Has anyone been to the Wonderland Tea Party recently? While reading about it, I realized parents can't go and DD5 is usually hesitant to try new things without me or a friend with her (only child). Were your kids nervous being left in an unfamiliar place?

I think this would be a wonderful surprise, but I guess I just need some encouragement!

I actually work for Childrens Activities at the Grand Floridian. A five year old at WTP should be fine as long as she isn't affraid of the Mad Hatter. He is usually the one thing that scares the young children.
If she is use to being left without you, that is also helpful. The one thing we really try to encourage is getting to the check in early ( we start checking in at 1:00), this way the child can warm up to the other children and start to get use to the noise. Yes Tea can be very noisy. We book up to 28 kids at tea, all those kids and the Mad Hatter equal allot of noisy.

I was so excited to see a post from someone who works there! Now that was luck! DD has been in preschool from age 1 1/2 part time and now Kindergarten, so hopefully she is used to being without me some (that's just her personality to be a "watcher" before jumping into a new activity--like her mom! ) Thanks for the heads up about the noise; I think I'll tell her about it ahead of time so we can look at pics online of Mad Hatter and the restaurant. No good having a surprise if it makes her cry!
