My wonderful mother has decided that she is taking everyone on a vacation and was excited when I brought this one to her attention. She said yes and we are now officially booked! Woo Hoo! Anyways I've been doing my research and checking things out on tips, secrets, etc.., etc... So whats the best tips out there? Also anyone use the nursery? I see you have to have reservations for it, but how do you know when you would use it? My youngest will be just shy of 2 when we go. Any info will help. Thanks!

We'll be joining you on this cruise on a B2B from Vancouver. This is the first time we'll be sailing with Disney but we have cruised 9 times before (Royal Caribbean and Celebrity). Our 4 year old is looking forward to seeing and meeting all the Princesses so we're really excited!!

Melissa, Mom, and family!!! Glad you are joining us on thise wonderful cruise! there are lots of tips and tricks, just ask a question and someone I'm sure will have an answer!

We are using the nursery for the first time in a couple of weeks when we take our sons and their families on their first cruise. Our youngest will only be 20 months old. Yes, you need to reserve time in the nursery, but if you find you need another time, they will let you in if there is space available. Space is very limited, though, so if you know you are going to Palo's, you reserve that time, or if you set up a couple's massage, same thing. My son has a couple of hours following dinner so he and his wife can attend some of the adult cabaret shows. Some people book time if they want to do an excursion that doesn't allow children that young as well. Not sure how I would feel leaving a baby on board the ship while I was not, but then I've never had to consider it and I do believe the CMs on board are really good.
Hope that helps a little bit...I can possibly tell you more in a few weeks, but there may already be someone on here that has experience!

I also want to emkamartin, (Melissa), and family to the cruise. We are going to have a GREAT time during this cruise. So glad ya'll are joining us.

Sorry, I can't help you with any info on the nursery, (even though DW believes she should have checked ME in a couple of times on some of our cruises!!!). We have never used that service on board the ships. But I believe Stephanie, (Va-NanaTink), has some excellent suggestions she offered.

Welcome! I am not a breeder, so I don't know about nursery. I am a pastey white so I will tell you to bring sunscreen. (he's supposed to be burning from the sun.)

I'm headed to work tonight. I looked at my holiday schedule and was like "***? I work the entire week around Christmas and I'm working NYE?!" I have worked all the holidays this year. Merry Christmas, no one go to the ER.

I gave my friends their cruisin' hats. I thought it'd be so cute for all of us to have big sun hats for this cruise and take like old time pictures. Plus I am going to be blunt about it: I am super white and sunburn super easy, so I always need a hat.

I hope that everyone had a safe holiday. Please remember that New Years Eve is called "amateur night" for a reason. Be safe driving and be careful if you do endulge in adult beverages.

We had a wonderful day and a half off - back to the jungle tonight of course.

Santa brought me a pair of kick tushy walking shoes and was like "those will be good for your cruise..." I love Sketcher's Go Walk shoes for cruising. They are so comfy. But my green ones are getting a beating. That and I received an amazing first aide kit. I just don't want to be ill prepared for the inevitable injury I will have. I am so clumsy and klutzy.

It's not that... I do random gravity checks. Yeah that's it. And I like to know the sun is working...And you know sometimes you just need to bang your shoulder on a set of stairs. One of my coworkers asked me "why do you go on these cruises? You always end up hurt..." (sprained ankle, super sunburned...), after I just checked into the ER with my ankle busted.... Couldn't answer them except "they're awesome."

I really like the Skecher Go Walks. They aren't the prettiest shoe out there, but they are a good walking shoe. They're light. I should've given the little sister a pair for Christmas. Darn hindsight!
