Yuck! I remember our flight to London. That was a LONG night!

It's about an hour to LAX the I'll change to a prop plane from LAX to SAN. So total of about three hours. We arrive at about 9-9:30am. I can literally walk from SAN to the port but since Laura is with me, she'll never go for that so it'll be about a $10 cab and five minutes to the port. There's probably a coffee shop at the airport to hang out at. I'll just have to babysit out luggage until time to go.
Coming home will be nice. Because I plan on buying Disney transfers from port to MCO and so luggage will be taken care of for me.
It's the layover at LAX that's adding time. The good thing is that I can choose the length of the layover. There was about three different options. How is it my flight from across the country (well down the country?) is shorter than your flight?!We used to go down south about 3 times a year, so I'm used to that flight. Now I'm lazy and if anyone wants to visit or see me, then can come up (California is too crowded when you live on an island of 15,000 people.). Yeah... I'm not a big fan of long flights. Whenever I take something 6+ hours my body ends up messed up. That's the best, least TMI way to put it. That's why I like cruising.
got my tickets im flying true houston international on the way in and on the way out
I'm thrilled to say that my DH and I will be on this cruise!
Wow. We've fallen silent here lately. Is it the pre cruise blues - because we still have over 10 months to wait!!! Or is it something else? It's Wednesday everyone.....................that's something to be excited about isn't it?............................wait a minute................Wednesday................I have to work on Wednesdays, and Thrusdays, and Fridays...................guess I'm not all that excited either!!! I'm beginning to feel a little light headedeverything is growing black..............I think I'm going to pass out!!!
Wait a minute, feeling better now that I got a lovely beverage in me. Ok ya'll................what doya want to talk about?
Work has been a bear....and I am getting geared up for our anniversary cruise in December....then the big family WDW/Cruise in Janaury....after that, nothing planned and I won't have my attention divided.I need some of that lovely beverage....assuming it has a high caffiene content!

I'm still behind on school. It's frustrating because I missed 1 day for this dang disease! My mom and I were watching QVC (home shopping) yesterday. She ordered me a sparkly shirt for the cruise. Yep I will be wearing Quaker Factory. She was like "you need to feel sparkly after this."
Anyone dressing up as anything for Halloween? I'm going as overworked CNA.
I haven't been around for a while, but I'm still as excited as ever about this trip! I guess the reason that I'm not totally invested in it yet is because I have another cruise between now and then. My husband and I will be doing a 9-night Caribbean cruise in March 2014. After packing for cool, often cloudy, sometimes misty, sometimes rainy Alaska, I now get to mull over what I want to wear in warm, glorious March Caribbean sunshine.
I bought a book on the Panama Canal, but am wondering if there will be a guide we can buy onboard as there was for the Alaska cruise.
Had a bit of a disappointment when my sister-in-law decided that they were going to take a European river cruise rather than the Panama one with us. For some reason, I have no interest in a river cruise.... at least until I've gotten beautiful ocean sea days out of my system!
Karen in Maine
P.S. The Google spreadsheet is still up and active for those who want to sign up for sharing dining tables with other group members. I'll send the link to anyone who's interested in joining those of us who have already signed up. Just send me a private message.

Man you're gonna be about as I am this holiday.
I just finished reading David McCoullough's book about the building of the canal. Fascinating stuff. I am sure there will be a guide book on board, but it will be totally overpriced. There is one on Amazon that is rated well. I think it is called Cruising the Panama Canal.I haven't been around for a while, but I'm still as excited as ever about this trip!
