We arrived home at 1:30 AM yesterday morning from our first trip Home at the BCV (We have stayed here before through CRO ressies). We had a wonderful week!!!
We requested a "higher Floor, Canal View" room. We were given room 554, a dedicated 2 bedroom on the 5th floor, over looking the Dunes Cove pool. It was wonderful. It was sparkling clean and everything was in working order. I did On line check in and everything was ready (not the room) when we arrived. We were completely happy with this Villa. This Villa was near the pool elevator which was conveninet to the DSA for the smoker in our group.
We used wegoshop.com for groceries. The delivery was right on time and everything we ordered was there. We even ordered fresh fruit and the quality was great.

Epcot was INSANELY busy on Sat 10/17. I knew that a Saturday at the F & W Fest would be busy with locals, but I have never seen it like this before. Unfortunately we had friends who had driven from Savannah for the weekend and this was the only day we had to go to F & W. For a first timer it was not the best experience.

Sunday 10/18 was cool-cold, but sunny. Each day got warmer. We had bright sun and a nice breeze. Perfect for theme park touring. By Friday/Saturday it was hot to us.

I was pleasantly surprised, after reading many complaints, to find everything sparkling clean. I was amazed at both EC and the MK to find CM's cleaning each rest room I went in, every time. I did not find a decrease in cleanliness or service at all.
I met wonderful CM's all week. Actually there were 1 or 2 a bit "cranky", but I just ignored them

There were lots of folks around and the parks seemed crowded, but the waits for the rides were minimal. I think the longest we waited was about 20 minutes. We did use Fast Pass for the headliners like Toy Story Mania, Soarin' , Rock & Roller Coaster and Splash Mountain.

We had the DDP and we had TS meals at the Biergarden, Marrakesh, Le Cellier, Hoop Dee Doo Review, Tusker House lunch, Teppan Edo, 50's Prime Time lunch, Raglan Road and Jiko. Each was special in its own way. The only disappointment for me was the Biergarden. It just wasn't as good as I expected.

It was a wonderful week we were able to share with DS and his girlfriend. She had not been since a child, so we were more commando than usual, showing her the WDW we love. We came home tired but happy.

I planned this trip for 11 months and had a blast, but now I feel like "Now What!!!' I know folks here understand that.
Thanks

Sounds like a great trip! I love BCV!

Now what? Start planning the next one, of course!

Yes, I do understand. And I do agree about Epcot being insanely busy on 10/17. I was at BCV the same time as you, only I had to come home a couple days before you. When did you have the 50s Prime Time lunch? I did 10/20. Did you go to any BCV movies on the beach? I saw "Monsters Inc.", and got back too late for "Enchanted". Did you get to see Art the Greeter?

Hi Simba's Mom!!
We did 50's lunch on the 21st. We had a great cousin who chose my DS to "pick on". We treated adult DS and his girl friend to this trip. Our Cousin was trying to get DS to propose right there and then. It was hilarious and we had a wonderful time.
Since it was DS's Girlfriends first trip since she was young we were more "commando" than our normal style. We never had time for movies on the beach or regretably even SAB this time. Just some of the many reasons to go Home again.
DS wished Art well while I checked in on 10/17 - I believe his last day. DS said he welled with tears and talked about how much everybody meant to him. Art will be missed. I did speak to Teena on Saturday as we were checking out.
We had great weather for theme park touring, didn't we? Friday and Saturday were a bit hot for me, but the rest of the week was perfect.
I love BCV and can't wait until I can plan our next trip Home

:cool1::)Thanks so much for giving us a great, positive trip report. We leave tomorow for our first trip home. Did your DS's girlfriend have a fabulous time? I am sure she did. We are leaving in about an hour to drive to New Orleans for an early fight out tomorrow morning. I can't wait to get there!!:cloud9:

Thanks for the report! Ah yes.. the return blues.. we all know them well. Good news is.. now you can get started planning your next one!!!

Loved reading your trip report. :surfweb:Thanks for posting. Isn't BCV wonderful? I'm glad your first trip home was so great.

ToddyLu, hope you have a perfectly wonderful first trip as well.:cheer2:

Hopefully. We were right up the hallway from you in 528 from 10/18 through 10/23. We were in a 1 bedroom. Yep...Sunday was COLD. We did Universal's Ripsaw Falls and the Popeye river raft ride that day too!

Just wondering was your villa updated, new beds, tv, etc.? Just curious we're going for the first time in Jan.
