Wonder, Waves and Wishes. 18th October 2009. Remembering the waves!

The only problem with Pirate Night and the Halloween party being on two different night is that our costumes ARE pirate ones. We are planning on wearing them for Pirate Night, but I don't think that my DH will want to get his back on for the second in three consecutive nights (we're doing MNNSHP on the 22nd). But we'll see.

Yes, DD's halloween costume is a pirate too!! I'll just let her decide whether she wants to dress up twice.

Thanks so much for the info! My dh and I have been trying to find out if the night we have Palo ressies would conflict with the halloween party. (Even called DCL and they didn't even know our sailing had the party!) Haven't been able to get any kind of answer until now. We have Palo on the 2nd night-so that would be perfect!

Next question. How dressed is everyone getting on "dress" night, and do you stay dressed for the show? We have been on one other DCL cruise, (3 nighter) and though we were told no-one dressed, but we did see lots dressed up-some even in formals! Although we have Palo that night, we would love to bring clothes for the kids to have Pics done in. Any thoughts/experiences with this?

I'll probably wear a pair of slacks and blouse. Not sure yet. i will also change clothes before the show so i can be comfortable. What DD will decide is anyone's guess.

Yay! I just finished my FE, and I have one set (of the two I'm doing) of tie-dye Mickey head tees for the trip. This weekend I MUST get the kid's costumes made, or else I'm dead meat! (Which means that I'll need to call my friend to run over to Disneyland and pick up an outfit and express it out to me.) Let's just hope it doesn't come to that!

What are you making for the costumes? I just got all mine finished. :cool1: How would that be to have a friend living near Disneyland!!!! So cool...

My DD is going to be a pink pirate princess, and my son wants to be Jack Sparrow. Since the Disney store didn't sell the Jack costumes this year, I bought the stuff to make it. I never even thought of getting one from Disney until my friend mentioned it today. Sometimes my brain just doesn't connect.

Hey all - it's SNOWING here - and we leave in a couple of hours. Off to a week of fun at WDW before the cruise. See you all there!! :)

I Know!! We're leaving on Friday to see family on the way and we'll be in the sunshine state that evening. It's 60 degrees here today, so I am ready.

Did I miss where the meet and greet will be?

Hello All,

We will be on the cruise with you. We leave on Wed. and will stay at the poly until the cruise. My husband and I have always lived within 20 min. of Disneyland. The kids have always been annual pass holders for Disneyland. This will be their first visit to Disneyworld and their first cruise. My son turns 11 on the 16th. My daughter is 7. They will be using the kids clubs during the day. If there is a meet on the ship it would be good to get the kids together. My son can be a little shy. ( loves video games) My 7 year old is the extrovert of the family and makes friends in seconds. Counting down the min. till the trip! We are going to celebrate my turning 50!:cheer2:

Arrived in Orlando this afternoon after a long flight. It's very warm here and the weather forecast is 90' degrees for the rest of the week. We are going to Seaworld to tomorrow.

Glad that you made it okay! Enjoy your time before the cruise!!

Yay! Another Disneyland person AND another one celebrating a 50th birthday (I am too!). You'll love DW just because it's so different from DL. I have an 11-yo son who loves video games, too. In fact, he's plain addicted to them. We'll be in room 6062 - right off of the elevator lobby (I just may live to regret that room choice).

Good to hear!!! We'll be there on Friday evening. Also very good to hear that the weather is warm too. It's chilly in KY. I hope we have great weather for the cruise!

No decisions that I'm aware of yet.:confused3

Okay, thanks. I thought I'd missed it somewhere. Not sure how I am going to get the FE's to the boat. :confused3 I'm taking an extra bag to put them in. Count down time for us. My office looks clean, need to do last minute laundry, pick up last minute things, pack a cooler, but I know I won't sleep a wink on Thursday night. I was up at 3:45 this morning packing some of DD's clothes!!!

I woke up about a hundred times last night trying to remember things I wanted to make sure of....kind of hard when we're working in Michigan! Everything is sitting ready at home (I think!), just need to add clothes and pick up Halloween costumes. We fly home Wed night, pack everything Thursday, and fly Friday morning to WDW.

I checked in online yesterday for both ends of our stay.

My son will be so happy. He is 11 and lives for video games especially Pokemon.

We are all packed up just waiting for DS to get out of school tomorrow

We leave for LAX at 6am!

We will tour Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Disney Studios than on to the cruise!

I will have my son AJ keep a watch out for Travis and Zach. I think the only thing that will pull him away from the video games during the day is if there is a play off game in the Pub. He is a Angels and Dodgers fan.
