We are staying at San Juan Marriot Resort & Stellaris Casino. We went to San Juan last year and stayed at La Concha Resort. We loved the rersort but wanted to try a different hotel. We are spending two nights in San Juan before the cruise.
Just booked this cruise yesterday as I'm trying to squeeze in one more before my DD turns 18. Can't wait to do the ABC route!...lots to research in a relatively short amount of time. It's been a while since we last sailed with Disney - are "fish extenders" still a thing and if so, where may I find that thread for this cruise? Thanks!!

Hi lwilliam. We are staying at the San Juan Marriot Resort for two nights. We also have Disney ground transportation.
Can I ask what your original reservation was for? We also are in a GTY and I have been checking often to see what stateroom we are in and would love an upgrade. When did you book your cruise? Wondering if that had anything to do with it? We booked a long time ago in an interior and then saw the military rate for an Oceanview GTY room was so much cheaper (by $800) so we cancelled and rebooked. I am wondering if you received the upgrade because you booked a long time ago or more recently?
May I ask how much the Disney transportation is? We were just going to take a cab but maybe we would be better with DT?
You are so sweet. Thank you. My hubby was Army 9 Years and is now DOD employee. Can’t give further detail than that.We booked in November (so really late). it was GTY Navigators Veranda. I just double-checked and that's what we got - not an upgrade. I was confused by the category number I thought the A made it a regular veranda. I'm glad I looked again, I discovered something amazing. We are in the very same cabin as on our last cruise except that this time we're on Wonder. In the Mediterranian, we were aboard Magic and we loved it.
I'm thinking the longer before you hear the better chance of an upgrade. I hope your service in our military earns you a well-deserved upgrade.
Just checked. We got cabin 2646. From what I have seen as far as reviews, it’s not the best room. Says it’s under the staff lounge where you hear music and thumping until 2am at minimum and lots of engine noise with gasoline smell when docked. I think we will be okay with the noise, just concerned about the smell of gasoline. I suffer from chronic migraines and have to give myself shots so praying there won’t be any issues.
