DW and I (no kids) are heading out on the Wonder in a few weeks and would like to know from recent travelers if they have any server or assistant server recommendations. Ideally we would prefer someone fun that will talk and joke with us rather than just focus on the food (although that’s important too). Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

We had Abadi from Indonesia on the Wonder recently and loved him. He has such a friendly personality. We noted that he was often on duty to hand out the disinfectant wipes when entering and thought it must be of his friendly personality.

He was not an overly chatty server though. But that wasn’t something that was important to us either. He would chat for a bit when we initiated it, but otherwise it wasn’t that he started long chats on his own. But we wouldn’t have appreciated it.

Our meals were all served in a timely manner. I liked that he actually did remember that we don’t like seafood and did never recommend the seafood dishes (usually the servers never remember this).

I'm following this thread since I would also love to hear the recommendations for dining room server on the Wonder.

I normally make request, but I'm not sure who's at the Wonder now. On our last Wonder cruise, we had a dining server who was nice, but was too excitable for us. We would prefer a low key server who makes dining relaxing.

I've heard there have been a lot of staff changes on the Wonder recently, due to nationality limitations for Australia and New Zealand. Recently on the Magic we met a couple of staff who transferred over for this reason, so wondering if any staff from the Magic (or other ships) transferred to the Wonder during their contract renewals.

Our server, Ricardo, on the Dream in August was previously on the Wonder (5 yrs) and wasn't allowed to stay due to the Australia/New Zealand sailings. He came on for the 11 nt cruise before ours.

If he’s still on the Wonder, Blake Caeiro from India is the best server we’ve had on our many Disney cruises.

We had Ronald Retuba Mamaril for our server and Thompson Fonseca for our assistant server on the DCL 15-day cruise from Honolulu to Sydney back in 2023. They're both fabulous and the best team we've ever had on all 10 of our DCL cruises. We sat with four other adults and I'm positive that they'd all say the same thing. Ronald always conversed with us about the day or about our families or his, and he had us stay after every meal to show us a trick or puzzle to solve. Our food was always delivered very quickly, and you had to put your hand over your coffee cup to stop Thompson from refilling it.

Glad Ronald is still on the wonder. He was fabulous had him in August 2022! I will say our sever we just had on the magic was just as good!

I have found most of them on DCL to be friendly and very good. They are actually there to focus on the food and service, and also are handling multiple tables and the timing of the food so cannot stop and chat/joke with one table and allow them to monopolize their time.

100%!!! We've been on the Wonder three times in three years and every server we have had was incredible. Our favorite was Steve from Australia, but as many have mentioned he had to move to the Fantasy due to residency restrictions once he Wonder headed to Oceana. Even still, the Wonder has incredible dining staff. You really can't go wrong

We were on Wonder in June and they were saying a lot of staff from the Wish moved over to the Wonder and would be moving to the Treasure when she sets sail (probably to make sure more people get trained on Wish class ships). I was on the Wish in December and had the same Palo waiter when I went in June on the Wonder, and maybe I will see him again next year on the Treasure (this is how the topic came up).

If Pradip is still on board I 100% recommend him. He was amazing!

Side question: how does one request a server?
