Wonder ~ October 1, 2014 ~ Double Dip!

Not 100% sure what we will be doing in Key West either. I'm thinking of the train tour and a visit to the aquarium but that's subject to change ;)

We're doing this cruise and following it up with a 4 day DD!! So we'll be in paridise for 4 out of 9 days!!

What's everyone planning for Key West? Trying to decide what to do with our kids who will be 10 and 7 ay the time!!

I think we're going to do the tram tour (last time, I didn't make it down to the southernmost point and I'd like to do that again) and have Key Lime Pie on a stick! :-)

Hi RT

Can you say Margaritaville..............sure you can. :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: :drinking1:drinking1:drinking1 :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I've never been to the southern most point, so I think that's what I'd like to do!! :thumbsup2

It's one of the first things on the left as you get up to the beach area!! Scuttle's Cove, the kid's club area is on the rights, then you come up to the first aid station on your right and Mt. Rushmore on the left!! :wizard:

thanks for the direction... We didn't go to the family beach... maybe that's why

Hi Everyone.
I just signed up. We are a family of four and am excited!

Seeing all the schedule changes, I ran to my CC log in this morning to make sure this one hadn't been moved! Whew. My TA said that she didn't think they'd move this, because double dips usually sell really well, so here's hoping nothing affects this cruise. I'm super execited about being in Key West again and 2 STOPS AT THE MOST WONDERFUL PLACE ON EARTH. Ahem. Don't disappoint me, DCL!

As for what to do in Key West, we did a cruise to the reef last time we were there, and that was nice, but kind of long for what you got to see. We also visited the southernmost point (it is a big concrete thing that says southernmost point and gives the distance to Cuba, otherwise, unremarkable) and the Hemingway House, which was neat. We did an outstanding ghost tour, but we won't be in town at that time. Saw the performing cats down at Mallory Square, which was actually really cool. Did the Conch Train, which was fun, but not a huge deal. Mostly, as we were about 28 at the time, we drank and shopped. So, probably not that, I'm thinking! Probably the Aquarium, perhaps the Shipwreck museum and just enjoying ourselves.

Hi everyone! I am beyond excited to say that my DH, Dd who will almost be 4 on the cruise and myself just booked this cruise. It's our first Disney cruise ever and our dds first cruise period!
I'm trying to learn as much as possible. We go to wdw every may and oct/nov and will be doing 10 nights after our cruise.

Glad to know there is a meet thread. We signed up the day the schedules were announced. We have been on the Magic (8night NYE 2011/12) and Dream 4 night Sept. 2012. I can't wait for this one, I have never been to Key West, even living in FL. And 2 days at CC was too good to pass up! It is me and DH, kids are grown and gone. Although, our DD and DGD (will be 9) are moving back to FL, we could add them later.

There is a great app called Ship Mate- it has a great countdown.. Julie

Just decided to go on this cruise. So Excited!!
It will be the 2nd cruise for myself and DD- She doesn't really remember the
1st cruise since she was only 2 yrs old at the time. It was back on the Magic in 2003!
This will be 1st cruise for DH-he couldn't come for cruise #1
Still remember CC from all those years ago and the thought to go twice is fantastic!! :cheer2:

I've been using this for a long time!! Kinda exciting... and kinda depressing at the same time right now!! I love watching the days tick away, but I get depressed looking at it every day and it says 477 Days left!! (As of today!) :sad2:

Hi all! I need to move a dummy cruise that is due in a week...and this one looks the best! I did a double dip on the Dream over New Year's '12 (my first Disney Cruise) and it was beyond awesome! LOVE Castaway Cay and haven't been to Key West so that was the deciding factor over the 4 day double dip to Nassau. It will be me and my dd who will be 6 then. We were on the Wonder over this past Thanksgiving. Such a cozy ship. :goodvibes

Now to catch up on all the posts.

Hmmm....now you got me thinking. Coming all the way from California, I should take advantage of a 2 week vacation. Adding the 2nd B2B wouldn't be much more than buying tickets for Disneyworld and all those costs...maybe even less Will definitely have to think about this. Right now my room is open the 2nd cruise.

LUCKY YOU!!!:thumbsup2

My kids aren't much into rides, so the cost of the parks just doesn't make sense for us!! But they LOVE the kid's clubs and Castaway Cay, so it's a win win for me because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Castaway Cay!!

Hi, we booked this cruise a bit ago. It will be our first one! Been to DL twice and WDW eight times but never a cruise. It will be me, DH, and three boys 8, 15, & 16 at that time. It is a surprise for the boys. We are deciding on whether or not to stay a few days in WDW first. DH birthday is on October 1.
I would love to join the Facebook group but wondering if all my fb friends will see that I belong to it? Don't want the older boys to figure it out!
