wonder neat items

I have been looking at different crusie ships for Disney but was finding all the cruise ships seem to have new add ons or added touches to the ships from star wars to frozen shows etc what does the wonder have? Is there anything or is it just Disney so we should like it ?

I think the whole Route 66 area is really cool on the Wonder. I love Ariel in the atrium and she still remains as close to the original "Classic's" since the Magic was re-imagined. The "secret" aft deck is pretty cool as is the Outlook Cafe!

It is my understanding that the Wonder did have the Frozen show during that Alaska sailings last year. And only the Fantasy has the Star Wars day at sea on certain sailings (to boost bookings for the less popular Western Caribbean sailings), although I think the Dream has the new Star Wars area in the kids club now, since it just had a refurbishment.

The Wonder does special itineraries like Hawaii, Alaska, West Coast/Mexico, etc. Back in 2012 they had special Pixar cruises along the California Coast.

What other special add-ons are you looking for? If things like the Aquadunk on the Magic, that will most likely be added during her next refurbishment (she is just the last one to get a big refurbishment because they are waiting for the new Panama Canal to be completed - she is the only ship that will fit through the current canal).

As the PP said, she is the only ship that still has the open aft deck and the enclosed Outlook Café.

I, for one, am going to miss the current Wonder after she is refurbished I would prefer that she stays just as she is.

Me, too. Latest word on the Panama Canal new locks being finished is May (maybe). DCL won't do the major refurbishing until they are sure the locks will be available to them.

I've not sailed on the Wonder yet and I'm looking forward to sailing her prior to any changes. We'll be on board in Alaska this summer.

I'm not sure how unique they are on the Wonder compared to the other ships, but we absolutely loved hunting for Hidden Mickeys.

There was a Frozen deck party on our Wonder cruise last month. Other neat stuff: the secret deck on deck 7, the Chuilily chandelier in the atrium, seeing the ropes and anchor and other cool stuff on deck 4 when walking the track, the stone loungers in the Rainforest Room.

thanks for the replies I will just be happy to cruise on one of the ships but did wonder if they had forgotten about the wonder. Although in after thought it would be nice to have one nostolgic ship

In Parrot Cay the carpet & framed wall art are 3D! Our server gave us 3D glasses & we loved seeing it change.
