Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

Hello everyone!

I have been MIA from the boards, but just got caught up on this thread. I am happy to see some people were able to join us! to all the new people!

I can't believe this cruise is coming up so quickly! We leave for the WBPC in less than three weeks!

I have been out or a while, but still wanted to give my answers to the seven questions:

1). What are your FAVORITE Disney Characters / or Disney Movies?
My Reply I love love love Chip and Dale! I had a private session with Ducky Williams and watched him draw them and he even signed them. It is my favorite cruise momento! My favorite movie is The Little Mermaid. It came out when I was six and I remember watching it over and over every day! I even sang the songs in my bathtub making a mess everywhere. I am sure I drove my parents crazy, but I loved it!

2.) What is your FAVORITE Disney Cruise dish?
My Reply I don't remember what it is called, but I love the chicken dish at Palo. It is filled with goodies and wrapped in prosciutto. mmmm A close second would be the sea bass on the Lumiere's rotational menu!

3.) If you could choose WHERE a Disney Ship sailed for 14 Nights - AND get a free Concierge level suite with a nice selection of shore excursions + ship board service prepaid! In other words - control a nice all inclusive Disney Cruise ... WHERE in the world would you send it? Please feel free to add what ever level of detail your heart desires!
My Reply It would probably take more than 2 weeks, but I would love to do Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. I like the helicopter idea, seeing scenery that way is amazing. Also, any wildlife based excursions would be on my list!

4.) What is your FAVORITE COLOR?
My Reply I love the combination of brown and pink, or green and pink. But, pink is my very favorite.

5.) What are your FAVORITE magazines or print publications?
My Reply I don't really read any print. I like to read Cosmo in the Dr.'s office.

6.) Do you have any particular EXPERIENCE from a CRUISE which was an especially memorable, favorite or special memory? What comes to mind?
My Reply Standing out on the verandah with DH watching the stars late at night!

7.) Do you have any PETS? If not - then what would you LIKE to have if you could have ANY pet?
My Reply I have two Chiuauas (Baby; 11 years old and Snowy; 6 years old). And two cats, one mix and one Hemingway (Carmella; unknown age and OCJ; 6 years old).

Thank you. I was humbled this year because I went to a nearby house that does this same thing. Because of his location, he doesn't get near the viewership that I do. But his show is SOOOOO much better. I paint, he's Picasso.

Loved the light show Steve! That Charlie Brown sequence is my favorite - Linus' soliloquy is my absolute favorite Christmas scene, next to the ending of It's a Wonderful Life and Clark Griswold's rant in Christmas Vacation.

Sooo. For anyone who is needing to know for the bracelets, I weighed 2 large with one envelope a sheet of paper this morning, and it came to 0.8 ounces. 2 bracelets along was 0.5 ounces. Hopefully that helps you figure out how much postage to put on your SASE.

Oh man I am so excited for this cruise!

After many days of 80 degree weather we got rain and temps in the 50's yesterday. Woke up to fog this morning!! This must have been the system that left Cali a few days ago. It's been fun but now i'm ready to go back to warmer temps.

Anywhoo, who's just doing duffels for this short cruise? I think I'll put my kids clothes in one duffel, my clothes in another and dh's clothes in a third. Then we'll carryon a small bag for our liquor. carryon can then be used for pjs when we disembark.

we are dying to know about wine tastings, dining rotations, movie offerings, shows to be performed etc!!

It's supposed to rain up here straight for the next week Just when I need to go out and finish up last minute shopping! I just hope we get some decent weather on the ship - my kids would love to swim in the middle of winter!

We are flying down Thursday night and coming back Monday, so we have 4 nights to pack for. I'm not sure how we'll portion that out yet. I have a Samsonite spinner rolling carryon and I love it - but I can't afford to buy 3 more for the rest of the family.

Maybe you could put up a sign saying something like "Next show at..." and give the guys address. Send some of your traffic his way.

I am so upset about this ugly weather. I wanted to hit DL for some shopping on Sunday or Monday and then we're at DLR over Christmas and I'd rather not be sloshing around. We were out on our pier this morning and I was telling dh I'm hoping it's nice and not like this. The sea was ugly. I know we'll make the best of it no matter what. Just need some extra pixie dust.

The weather has been dismal. I'm not so much worried about the cruise because I'm thinking it'll pass but, I haven't been able to get much else done!
