Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

We booked 2 11C's and got 11C's. I was hoping for 11's on deck 6 just bc that is where we are for the PC but it didn't happen that way. It will be fun never the less. I am just not looking forward to packing up and moving after the PC for just 2 nights. It is ok though, the 2 night was booked the day it came out so we picked 11c's not thinking we would be on the PC. Then booked the PC in CAT 5's so we knew we would have the change rooms. I was just hoping for something closer.

Can't wait to set sail!!!

Thanks guys. Looks like hardly any upgrades then for the GTY folks. : We are actually going on another cruise (only 4 nights) on the Sapphire Princess Dec 18th out of LA but only my older DD and I are going (DH can't take so much time off work). We just got lucky with all these brief cruises. Otherwise we'd only be able to go once a year.

Any other GTY assignments?

I didn't think that there'd be much in the way of upgrades. This'll be the first time that I've ever sailed in the cabin I booked!

The cruise has been sold out for months, there was very little chance of an upgrade.

OK, last time we cruised with DCL was Nov 08 and i remember getting a document/booklet from DCL thru mail, now are we supposed to get something or is everything needs to be printed out from the DCL website? Thanks...

They send out your Documents about a month before the cruise. It's all pretty much formality though. The major stuff is done online. Still exciting to get them though. WOW! I've been so intent on getting my Christmas lights up that I had not even realized that we only have a month and a half to go!

I just polished off another dinner portion of my spouses' delicious turkey and stufffing! Yum!

Today we had the regional AYSO soccer games - the final 4 teams represented our region agsinst the other regions gathered in 3 rounds of games. We lost all three games but it was a good experience - with 2 of the games hotly contested affairs! Oh well - now we move on into the winter season for soccer!

My DD12 just had her last playoff game for 2nd or 3rd place today. Game ended 0-0 and we went into overtime. Winning score.....yes! My DD12! 1-0...we took second. I was so happy for her...they all jumped on her and she hasn't stopped smiling. She told us that she played like her older brother does on his football team, beginning of OT she started jumping up and down like he does when he's about to return a kick off

I am intimately familiar with the "brand" of happiness your daughter has had this weekend...

Yeah... tonight at the farewell soccer team dinner party our Head Coach spoke to the group glowingly of our daughters singular winning goal against the previously undefeated team in quarter finals. I could just get a peek at my daughter staring right at me and smiling in embarassment - and yeah - that embarassement with her huge smile made the 18 games I referee'd on all the more worth while!

Now you know - to get proper mileage out of your daughters' service to the team - you'll have to remind her of the mile stone all the way into your speech at her wedding reception down the road!!!
