Wonder in the Caribbean!!! 04/27/2014

As the days count down I get more and more excited. My DH and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary ( a little early ). We will be travelling with ds8, ds3 and MIL & FIL. We also have a another little one that's staying with my parents....can't wait!!!! I really need a vacation! ;)

Hello!
This will be our first Disney Cruise and my husband and I are planning on making reservations at Palo for one adult dinner and take our kids (ages 5 and 3) to the club. I am just not sure which night to do this. We want to experience each of the main dining rooms and also want to experience Pirate Night with our girls. Is there a way to know your dining rotation ahead of time or do you get that when you board? Or does anyone have suggestions on which night to do adult dinner? THANKS!

HEY - good to see there are others from Columbus on this cruise!!!!!

I've wondered the same thing!!! I finally gave up....... I'm thinking maybe a brunch instead - ???

Since this is our first cruise, we do not want to miss out on any of the dinning rooms. If I've come to the correct conclusion from what I've read on here, the other 2 nights will be pirate night and 1 other themed dinner that I can't remember the exact name. Since this is our first cruise, I gave up trying to plan Palo dinner - we'll go with the mindset of enjoying each dinner in the main dinning rooms.....and if we can book Palo on board after we get a feel for it all, it will be an added bonus.

Thanks for your response....I am starting to think that we will do the same as you and see if we can book Palo once we have things figured out after boarding!

Which part of Columbus are you from??

Ahhh.....sorry, didn't realize there was a minimum...hmmm.... make posts that say 'thank you' until you meet it - ;)

We are on the opposite side of town.....

So who's ready to cruise RIGHT now!?

Our daughter sure is! Well us, too but she's so stinkin' excited!!

5k anyone? Michelle's a bit of a runner so she's all set for the stroll around the island. Gracie and I will probably hit the bike trail to the observation tower and wait for Michelle there then all head to the beach. It's our first stop at CC so we're all pretty excited about all the things to get into. Heck Gracie would be happy just playing in the sand all day! (Hope the sand fleas get the heck outta there before we arrive! That would be NO fun!)

Anyone else staying at Cambria Suites? Its a brand new hotel in Blue Lagoon area. We're looking forward to checking out a new place. Should be interesting.

Forgive me if I missed it but has anyone set up a meet and greet kinda thing? We did that last April just to kinda put faces with names and say hello. Nothing big. Something to think about.

See y'all soon!

~Kim

Just FYI, after paying in full we received a final type confirmation from Disney showing a refund of $20.58. I called today to see if they could tell me why and were it was refunded too since we've paid with mostly gift cards.

It's a refund from a reduction in government taxes and thankfully they told me the last 4 numbers of the gift card it was refunded to.

So be sure to keep an eye open for a small refund. Everything little bit helps! :thumbsup2

Hey Kim,

I am going to do the 5k. I can't wait for the cruise. Are you guys doing the mixology?

Sweet! Neither of us are runners, so no 5k for us. We are doing our group mixology... I think that's the only meet up planned so far. Since we are cruising without the kids, we are very excited about Serenity Bay. We've got a nice disboards group, it's going to be an awesome cruise! :-)

Help, I have a question. I am new to DCL and am traveling with another cabin so we are 6 people total. when booking our port activities should we book all 6 in one cabin so that we can go together or do we have to book per cabin? :worried:
