Hello everyone- just dropping in to say hi!! I'm Tori!! DH and I booked our 3rd disney cruise- this time to Alaska!!! My sister and her husband are going to join us too.
I'm super excited since I've never seen Alaska, and I can't wait to see it from the Wonder!!

Thanks for the welcome!!
I've wanted to do an Alaska sailing for forever but timing was bad and DH was worried about cost. He's not a "Disney Freak" like me (though i did talk him into a disneyland wedding, go me!) so the idea of "bring stuck on a boat with kids and characters" was NOT his idea of vacation. So I convince him to go on a 7 day MR sailing, it was cheaper so if he hated it I wouldn't have to defend too much of an expense.
Well, let me tell you, on day 2, I mentioned booking a future cruise to Alaska while we were on board and he couldn't get to the onboard booking desk fast enough!
So suffice to say, I'm super super excited!!!

Hi :wave2:

My Mum and I are booked for this Alaska cruise. We were going to do Alaska this year (Sept), but we switched that to the EBPC instead.
I think 2013's Alaska itineraries are better than this year's ones - Vancouver looks amazing! :goodvibes

Good for you. Nice to see DH came around on day 2.......what took him so long?!? :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Ok, I've officially gone off the deep end. On the Dream last week we were talking with Capt. Henry about having this cruise and the one before it booked, well....he mentioned that I should just go ahead and book the PC cruise out of Miami to bring the Wonder to LA. Guess what....I booked it for DD & I. Not sure that I will keep it, but it's booked if we decide to go. It will really depend on her school schedule and where she ends up for college. But for now she & I are booked for 4 weeks on the Wonder. Too bad we couldn't get the same cabin for the first leg, but we'll keep trying.

Hey, you are singing to the choir. I have thought of the same thing, only, my DD goes to public school and we can't take off that much time.

If she goes to Valencia College it would be doable since their classes end in April. If she goes to UCF then we'll have to look at their schedule and then decide.

I wish we could take time off like that!

I can only take 1 week of vacation at a time, and my wife only gets 1 week of vacation a year.

I hope you can do it jilljill, you'd be my shero!

I wondered about that as well.
We've got no kids yet and I wondered if I was going to be confining myself for a week on a boat full of boogers and crying and poop, but they have plenty of places to go to avoid a lot of kids, and the kids have plenty to do to keep them occupied, so they stay busy.

We found our last cruise to be wonderful, and can't wait to go back. It's been almost a month, and we still talk about wanting to go back all of the time! :lovestruc

This is the beauty of me not working and DD will be finishing her first year of college. DH gets 5 weeks vacation a year and can only take 2 weeks at a time, hence the reason for him only going the last 2 weeks.

Jilljill- my DH can be a little slow to make his mind up, lol!
And Brumbie that was exactly his concern, but after Mexico he knows that our part of the cruise will be booger free!! :)

I'm thinking we are going to do a sea kayak excursion and maybe the horseback ride- what excursions are you guys looking at?

I have no idea what we will do.
We have looked through the Alaska excursions, but a lot of them are so expensive. I am going to wait to pay off my cruise before I decide what to do for excursions.

Hi everyone. I'm happy to have found an official thread for the 5/27/13 Alaska cruise. We are very excited to be booked on this cruise. We were originally booked for the first ever Alaska cruise in 2011, but had to cancel it due to life interferring. So, two years later, and we are trying again. :cool1:

Welcome Stitch! Hope nothing gets in the way for you this time!
I'm always paranoid about stuff happening. I signed up for "cancel for any reason" trip insurance so that I won't be out the money if something comes up.
