...now that Gary Coleman has died?

Of course I'm always sad to see someone I remember from TV die, but I did stop and think about Avenue Q. We LOVE the show and have seen it a couple of times (sadly, though, not when it came to our hometown recently - we had a conflict.)

Gary Coleman is a character in the show and it's a funny part of the plot - but now that he is dead I wonder if the will keep using the character or replace him with someone equally funny (in the context of the show) but still alive?

Anyone else seen Avenue Q and want to take a guess at what they will do?

Cool, I too was wondering the same. It's kind of like when Michael Jackson died and everyone stopped talking negatively of him. Are we all going to stop talking negatively about Gary Coleman?

I know that in certain overseas versions, they don't use the name "Gary Coleman." Or if they do, the modify the song a bit. Here is a link to London's version of the Avenue Q song "It Sucks To Be Me." Gary Coleman's lines are a little different from the American version of the show. They made him more of an ambiguous former child star rather than the actual Gary Coleman. Also, the party is played by a man instead of a woman. Gary comes in at about 03:40 into the song if you want to skip the beginning.
