Wonder: Hot Chocolate

My 8 y.o. is a hot chocolate aficionado, lol! We're going on the Wonder again for the second time soon, but I can't remember how the hot cocoa works... is it a machine near the sodas on Deck 9, that makes the cocoa w/ water? I know I can go into the coffees shop (w/out her) and get one made w/ milk, but that's an extra cost. Is there anywhere/anyway to get hot chocolate made w/ milk for "free"?

And, actually, she also loves cold chocolate milk. I can't remember if if they have that in the MDRs. Or if it's not on the menu but they can get it, does that mean it's more of a hassle for them? (At home when we go to a restaurant, the server often has to get it made in the bar for us, which is a little extra work- not that they complain, I just know it's more work and am appreciative). I know Disney is all about the customer service and will happily get pretty much whatever we want, but I'd like to know if it's more hassle so I can tip extra for their extra work.

I believe they have packets don't they? Although not 100% sure hoping someone responds. There is chocolate milk in the buffet as I took some back to my room last time and put them in my fridge (Nesquick in bottle). And yes you can get in MDRs too

They have a hot chola the machine at the self service drinks area and if it is not working then they gave packets there.

Severs can get you chocolate milk and it's available in beach blanket.

No microwaves for public use but they can warm things up for you.

We were on in May and it was in a machine on deck 9. I did not notice it being "watery" and I am quite pickey about my hot chocolate. I prefer a dark chocolate and it seemed good. I added a bit of whole milk to it to help cool it down because it came out HOT!!!

Also I add creamer sometimes to my hot chocolate if its from a machine as this can add the consistency to make it very creamy

We were on the Wonder November 2014 then again in July 2015, the machine in July was new not the same as November and the hot chocolate was a lot better.

When we were on the Magic in June. On deck 9, the Hot Cocoa machine dispensed hot water and we had Nestle Rich Chocolate mix packets. I put vanilla ice cream in mine from Eye Scream. It was delicious.

Yes, but like I said, it was just dispensing hot water, not hot chocolate, and we had to use the packets.

Good plan. That would work fine for me, we'll see what DD says about it, though, lol. That kid is picky! (Our fault, I know...)

I am not positive but I think that the Wonder has a different one now. I was on 3 weeks ago

Yes I didn't say mine was the Wonder just put it there as an example however I understand these are the ones across the fleet now. I wasn't on the Wonder recently but was on it in Alaska in the last and it had an older bulky one then.

The one in your picture was on the Wonder in November, the one now is new and different
