Hi,

We're considering an early excursion (Harv and Marv's whale watching) on our Juneau port day.

Ship docks at 6:15am, and we're considering a 7:20am whale watching excursion.

Does anyone know what time the buffet starts serving on mornings like this? Or how early we could have room service delivered? Or other breakfast options?

Seems like a small detail, but we'd get pretty hungry without a bite to eat first.

Last year the Buffett at beach blanket was open for the early start.

Room service can come from 5.30 am for breakfast but actually is 24/7 to order off the room service menu.

The snack places on top of deck were open early as well.

We went to breakfast was off by 7am went to town, then went to mount Roberts back for a meet with a helicopter trip to walk an glacier back up mount Roberts again and shopping and back for 4pm.

Beach Blanket opens at 6:30 AM on Juneau day. Goofy's Galley opened at 6:00 AM.

Be aware though that on those early days. Beach Blanket is the only thing open with good variety and most people are getting off early so it fills up fast. When we went, we had to take the tray back to our room, or you could find a table by the pool. But inside the restaurant was jammed almost as soon as it opened.

On our early excursion days in Alaska we did room service. That way we could eat while getting ready, and it really saved time. There is a card in the desk drawer, you fill it out and put it out the night before and breakfast was delivered very promptly. There is a time range like 6 - 6:30. I checked that box and circled the 6:30 as well. You can make notations like by muffins, indicate bran, banana, etc. and they always sent what we asked for.

We were on the 5/24 sailing and did exactly this. We ate at Beach Blanket (opened at 6:30am) and had no problem finding a table. We did eat outside though so depending on the weather it might make a difference. We had a 7:20am time with Harv & Marv which was amazing! They meet you right as you exit the ship so it's super easy and no stress. We had Captain Steve who was awesome! Then we had them drop us off at the Mendenhall glacier visitors center & we took the blue shuttle ($10pp right from the parking lot) back to town

We had a 7:20am time with H&M and ordered room service for breakfast. You will love your H&M trip, I really recommend them. :thumbsup2
