I jsut booked our family's first cruise. We'll be on the Wonder 4 day cruise on August 9th, 2009.

Our cruisers include, Me (37), DH (40) and DD (4).

Looking to see who will be joining us.

We can't wait!

Gretchen, Mike and Lily

I just booked for August 9th too. It will be me (41) and DS(7), as well as Grammy and Grandpa. Right now none of them know- it will be a surprise for Grammy and Grandpa's anniversary. Since we live in central Florida, I think I'll wait and surprise DS as we drive up to the ship. I'm so excited!

We just booked this one this morn, we had planned the three night on 8/13 so decided to also do this one, first time on Deck 2. Back to Back should be fun, beats going to WDW in Aug.

It is me Scott H and Lynn G.

We have been on a copuple of DCL trips before this one.

Just subscribing to this thread, I am the other half of ScottH! Looking forward to meeting new folks!

Good Morning Cruisers!

Cold and snowy here in Wyoming today!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning cruisers!

Just thought I would give this thread a bump!

Still windy and cold, but neither as extreme as yesterday, wind down to 25 mph, temp up to 35 degrees. Never even left house yesterday, but did get some of my projects in the basement done. Today is packing up for weekend trip (it is amazing how much time it takes to put together a weekend trip!), cleaning the house, and maybe getting in a short dog walk.

Have a great day everyone!

It's supposed to get cold here this weekend too- down in the 40's at night:rotfl2: I am still planning on the 4 night in August- the other three are still in the dark about the whole thing though:). I've been pondering telling my parents at Christmas.

Good Morning Cruisers! (or should I say Zmom, as the only other person here?)

We had a good trip to Missouri to visit with Scott's parents, drove back (11 hours in the car) on Monday, spent Tuesday putting finishing touches on the basement for our "Grand Opening of the Adventurers Club - West" Party on Wednesday, I spent most of Tuesday and all of Wednesday getting house clean. The party was a success - now we just have to empty boxes in the guest room in the basement and set it up, clean out the storage area and we will really be done. The construction of the basement has been going on for a year! It was an unfinished basement, and now it consists of 1 bathroom, 2 bedrooms, one of which is a workout room, a bar and library area ( the Adventurers Club - West) and a media theatre area - separated by a curtain from the bar-library area.

Really ugly here today – got about 2-4 inches of snow overnight, and it is windy – my wind gauge has frozen, but weather guy says 25mph wind with gusts to 45mph! The wind chill index is 6 degrees. High today will be 33 degrees. We have some good drifts in the backyard. The dogs would not go outside this morning, they have finally braved the wind and are outside now (probably wanting to come back in – be back in a minute).

Scott headed out of town yesterday, decided to stay overnight and finish up this morning, hoping that he will not have to go back there next week. He was planning to be back in Cheyenne around noon, but weather might delay him a bit.

Have a great day!

I grew up in Colorado (Loveland/Ft. Collins) and though I miss the mountains I have grown quite accustomed to warm weather. The little cold snaps are fine as long as they don't linger! Life here consists of moving into our new house of 2 weeks, work and school. Tonight we are headed over to watch the space shuttle launch (hopefully all will go as planned). We love all launches, but especially the night ones!

We did get to see a night launch from WDW it was way KEWL!!!! enjoy.

We were going to retire to Florida, after spending 28 years in Jackson (Hole), WY, but then we moved to Cheyenne for Scott's work, and we like Cheyenne so much, we are just thinking of staying here. The weather here is so much more temperate than Jackson was, just have to get used to that WIND! Yesterday and today have been nice, sunny, not too cold, and NO WIND (so far at least for today).

Good Morning cruisers!
Well, I survived my long walk! It was actually 2 walks, one loop of 11 miles with the dogs, then a short stop at home to use bathroom, drop off tired dogs, eat a Kashi bar, and refill my water bottle, then out for a 7 mile loop. The actual milage was 18.53 miles, pace was 16:35 – not fast enough to beat the sweepers, but I was not pushing the speed, just walking at a comfortable pace. I almost feel ready for the Marathon in Jan.

We have put up a bird feeder next to the bird bath, and the finches are just flocking to it, it is right outside the window next to the computer, so I get to watch the birds while trying to keep up on the boards! The only problem is that I cannot make any sudden moves, or all the birds spook and fly off. I am literally no more than 4 feet from the bird feeder!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Cruisers!

It has turned cold here, after mid 60’s yesterday, high today will be 30 degrees, with freezing fog, freezing drizzle and snow – sounds beautiful doesn’t it? :scared1:

Have a great day everyone!

Hey Kids, Feel Free to ask the Captain on this cruise to make an extra turn or two, cause we just paid our Fuel Surcharge. :lmao: :lmao: Maybe Water Skiing:lmao: :rotfl2:

Good Morning cruisers!

We spent part of the weekend putting up some of our icicle lights – we surround the house with them. It is very difficult to put them up in wind, and it seemed like the wind picked up each day just as we got the ladders out! But we did manage a few strands. Hopefully it will be calm this weekend and we can get the rest of them up.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Cruisers! Was too busy to make it to the boards yesterday – but got all my shopping for Thanksgiving out of the way!

We have been working on the icicle lights in the evenings, last evening was calm and we managed to get up several strands – hopefully tonight will be calm also so we can get a couple more up. That should leave only one or 2 left for the weekend, and the forecast is not great for the weekend – it is supposed to get cold and some snow. The wind is the hardest when up on a ladder, and holding long strings of lights, the static decorations will be easier to put up in the wind!

Weather has been really nice all week!

Have a great day, and a great Turkey Day tomorrow!

The Lights are on!!!!!!

Good Morning Cruisers! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had a quiet dinner at home, turkey breast, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie! Now we have lots of left over’s (I love left over’s).

We are really glad we started the Christmas lights early – the weekend conditions were not conducive to being on a ladder – windy and cold all weekend. We did not get as much done on the inside of the house as I would have liked, we decided to take advantage of the great deals and bought a new car – jeep 4-door wrangler – then had to make room in the garage for it as we did not trade in the old jeep. We had to move the motorcycles and bicycles to the barn to empty out a space in the garage.

Beautiful sunrise this morning! Still windy though.

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Cruisers!

My cold is getting worse, I coughed up a storm last night, had to move to the guest bedroom at 3am so as not to wake up Scott with another coughing fit! I am really wiped out today! I am just very thankful that it is all in my chest and not in my head, I would really be a hurting puppy if my head were stuffy also.

It is snowing and cold today, think I will confine my activities to working on Christmas cards, ordering Christmas gifts, and working on afghans I am trying to finish before Christmas. As today is laundry day, I will get my exercise climbing stairs. The dogs have not gotten off the bed since I fed them this morning!

Have a great day everyone!
