HI all, wondering who else is heading to the Western Caribbean to escape the wrath of Old Man Winter?

I am traveling with my 2 teenage sons, Brian 17 (senior trip and almost 18th bday) and Ian 16 (tagging along for winter break). This will be our first solo trip, dad staying behind to work. We are very excited to see the western side of the Caribbean Sea.

Who will be cruising too?

We have also booked this cruise. First time booking with DCL for my family. My wife and I have cruised on multiple different lines but never with my 4 year old son. This will be his first. We are also looking for information on the FE if anyone has any info that would be great!

We're on this cruise, too. It's our first one and I'm so excited!!! But... it's a Christmas present for our sons, so I have to keep my enthusiasm under wraps. We have 3 boys: DS 14, DS 13 (who will be celebrating his 14th birthday on the cruise), and DS 11. I joined the FB group and added our names to the google doc. Hope I did it right!

I've heard rumors that Disney is no longer allowing you to bring your own fish extenders, that you have to "rent" them once onboard. Has anyone else heard this?

I have not had this experience and we were sailing recently. I dnot even know if it is possible to rent one, that would seem odd! Everyone had their fish extenders up without issue

If you are having trouble signing up, just PM me with your Information (name, name age and gender for those in your cabin, cabin number, dinner seating time and anything else you want to add) and I will sign you up!!!

We are a family of 5 and I want to make sure we have been added to the FE group for the Wonder sailing Feb 15-20. We have three girls; Allie 14, Tori 12 and Sophia 9. I think I signed up but am not sure how this all works. It is our first Disney Cruise.

Hello - I may have missed this, as I am new to the entire experience, but is there an "official" FE sign-up for this cruise date?

In order to be able to use the PM function, you just need to have 10 posts (not points). You can go to the Technical Support/Test Board and quickly and easily add additional posts to get to 10.

It looks like the FE list will be closing on Friday 1/9/15. If there are still those wanting to participate after that date they may need to consider trying to organize a late-comers group so that members will have time to get their gifts in order before the cruise.


FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS where FE began years ago.

There is still enough time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.
