Twas a stormy day & nite....

Hmmmm.. (sorry) This being our 2nd Wonder cruise, we expected high things.

But a little (ok a lot) of bad weather, puts people in a very foul mood, when locked up togther.

Should of noticed it while waiting in line to board, and not to many people smiling, or happy faces. Finally on board, and to eat, than wander around, however, outside is NOT an option, windy, cold and raining. Our cabin is GREAT. We had a hugh veranda, (next to the handicap room). Right after we got in the room, the neighbors are very loud, lots of comotion, our phone rings and its guest services, telling us to control our "kids" next door, we assure them We have no idea who is next door, and would also like to see them controlled but they are not ours.

{Wouldn't disney know that? We were not associated with anyone else on board}. The sail away party is in the entry hall, that is a let down, and very crowded. We returned to our room to hang off the veranda, the rain is lighter, but they are power washing the buffet outside area (as they did every day ) and we are getting soaked again.
Day 2 Captins log, the passengers are getting restless. Outside is still not an option. Naussau had its moments. We got off ship early in the sprinkling and the big down pour went on while at Atlantis. We did our own "excursion" to see Atlantis, and casino, but due to the weather all of its residents where inside and at the casino too. Very crowded. Stores expensive and crowded. The aquariaum was a waste of time, so many where in there. We returned soaked and full of island charm.

Saw the movie, and It was

nite tonite But we where going to Palo's. Our 1st time there. It was amazing!!!!

Talk about catering to you, my sister and I, could not of asked for anything cause it was there 2 minutes before you thought of it. We where stuffed. We went and changed out of our dresses for the big festivities BUT the wind and sprinkles, finally got the best of us, returning to the cabin, and just watched a movie, we both fell asleep and didn't feel like returning for the show up on deck. I'm not even sure if they did it or not.
DAY3 I'm afraid to look out and see if we can dock / or if its gloomy yet? BUT

yeah! Finally. Started off early and a little cool but sunny, then got over cast BUT it cleared up again with NO rain! The water was cold, a lot of people went in, but the beach was great. We went over to the "adult" beach. Now, sorry but IMHO this is not even close to the other beach. Please. It reak's of fish smell, black sea weed stuff all over the beach, the beach is not wide at all, and serenity > boring. So quiet we could not stand it. We went right back to the family beach. None of the kids bothered us, and they where all over. I even rescued a "lost" boy, calling MOM, and crying he was totally on the far side away from them (turns out). I helped him and got him to the life guard, and with the radio they had mom, at the other guard. So we had a nice time, got a bad burn, and ate a good bbq. Later that nite we did walk around the ship and saw everything, no one was really out. We played shuffle board, pingpong, went in all the stores, and bars. Just had one good last look around in case its a while before we do this again.
Day4 RIOT

Anyone that was waiting for the ship to be cleared to depart knows what happened. Customs was late, and everyone was about down stairs waiting to leave. lines had formed first. then there was no room for lines, that is where the fighting started. Lots of people pushing and just cutting lines etc... . One big mess. Not a nice note to leave on. Really grade school kind of activity.

We used the Porter as usual but he said they have been a lot slower cause of trouble at the port? So it took a while to get through with him even, but once we got up to the counter, no problems.
Lessons learned: The weather in March is too iffy. And if the weather is bad, that limits what you can do. We saw movies, played very expensive bingo, drank & ate alot. But bad weather, totally changed the mood, and demeanor of the ship. In august last year, I don't think I saw one person without a smile. Or a nice word in the elevator, etc... But in march, no one even talked to you, and if they did it wasn't usually nice. We did meet a handful of people that we ran into a few times, that were very nice, and friendly. But overall, I think people where so disappointed, they just could not get over it.
