Wonder 10/18/15 West Coast Baja Mexico!

We'll hello all!! We just jumped from May to October. Our cruising pals Eva and Von have already introduced themselves...... So excited for this cruise!! Let the planning begin!

It makes me happy to see that the price went up a little bit :-) makes me feel good about booking early. We are also planning on late dining, we had that our last cruise and really enjoyed the timing. We will most likely do a PALO brunch, a rainforest pass, a massage on Ensenada day and mixology! Cabo so far we just plan to go and relax on the beach get a drink or two and have some fun. Repeats of what we have done on previous trips, this will be a relaxing vacation. Depending on how much time we are able to get off of work, we may or may not spend a couple of nights in San Diego, or visit Disneyland (my home away from home). I have been reading trip reports, my disney cruise obsession has taken full hold, oh well something to keep me occupied for the next year and a half!

Hey all, I'm currently booked for this in 2 secret porthole rooms, but trying to decide if I want to add this cruise on for me and the kids before we do the EBPC... choices choices! DH wouldn't be able to come with due to time off issues for this trip though. 19 nights too much?

It's either that or we take this cruise and go to DL before hand for 5-6 nights, and drop the EBPC, so I'll stick around for a bit!

Not too much for me....I booked both! :cool1: There is already a nice group of people here, I bet we tempt you into staying aboard.

Does anyone know how to add a kid onto a reservation just in case we do do the me by myself thing? I know it's easier to take them off, and I'd rather add her on now to be safe. Do I need to call Disney to do this?

Probably easiest to call. I'm assuming you didn't use a travel agent, otherwise they'd have to make the call. And you are so right, make the add NOW. Later on you could be denied due to muster station availability and kids club space for that age group.

They are not able to make it quad occupancy... So I'm going to keep checking back as the holds drop off.

:cool1:Looking to see if there is interest in joining a FE group. I'm willing to put the spreadsheet together and post it. I've asked the question on the FB site too. If there is interest I will post it on both sites and it will be let the fun begin.

:welcome: Welcome to the DISboards! And welcome to the gang!

Hi everyone! We (tentatively) booked this yesterday. Just me and DH (29 and 35 at sail date) and I'm trying to keep it a secret from him. :) We live in FL, about 2.5 hours from PC and I'm hoping to tie it into a DL trip!

We got married on CC in January, and our amazing photographers are going on this cruise so we thought why not join them! Haha. :) Plus... The Wonder is our favorite ship! It will be our fourth sailing on her.

This will be our 7 Disney cruise. We booked last week on the Disney Dream, for 05/11/15, and when the 5 day came out, we changed. We want to visit Disneyland, on this trip. My name is Pam, and my husband is Buster, both are are over 50, and live in the new Orleans area.
:dance3:

It looks like we have a great group! I finally paid our deposit yesterday, just waiting on my sister now, and the rest of our group has already paid as well. :)

It is already a great group and we all just booked! Yay, can't wait to plan with everyone this next year. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend (I'll be working).

So excited that Disney is going to be sailing from my hometown! We love cruising out of San Diego (so convenient to have friends just drop us off at the port). It's going to be me - Wendy (38), DH - Derek (41), DS7 Zeke and DD3 Zara. We're also joined by my inlaws and some local friends. Going to be fun!

Welcome to the the Fish Extender Exchange Group for the Oct 18, 2015 Disney Wonder West Coast Baja Mexico Cruise!

Hi Everyone :wave2:

My name is Darla and I am organizing the fish extender group for our cruise.
If you'd like to join, please post the following information and be sure to subscribe to this thread to receive updates:

-- DISboard username
-- Cabin # (if you know it already)
-- Family Last Name (helps with personalizing family gifts)
-- First names of those participating, ages of kids in cabin and whether boys (B) or girls (G)
-- Favorite Disney character for each of the people in your cabin, if any (this helps if people make gifts specific to the people in the room)
-- Any special cruise celebrations
-- Any food allergies, etc

For those who are new to this fun cruise experience, the Fish Extender itself is a pocket panel you hang from the fish shaped hook outside your stateroom. These can be homemade or you can purchase them on sites like Etsy, you can also find some pictures on Google or DIS forums. Families that join the FE group hang the Fish Extender outside their cabin and then exchange little gifts with others participating in the group by putting little gifts in each others extenders.

It's a ton of fun, not just for kids, and you can either give one gift to each cabin, or a gift to each person in the cabin. You can give gifts a few times throughout the cruise or just once. No real set rules, just exchange and have fun! Gifts can be homemade or store bought. That's part of the fun . . . the variety of gifts that everyone brings!

All gifts should be delivered between the cruise leaving port on Sunday Oct 18th and early evening on Thursday, Oct 22th. That will give people time to still be able to pack their bags on Thursday (they usually have to be outside cabin doors by 10:30 that evening) before we leave the ship on Friday morning.

Our group will close August 18th (2 months prior to sail date). This allows people plenty of time to order, make, assemble, personalize, etc their gifts. Thank you!!

If we see an outstanding response from willing participants we may divide the total list into smaller groups of 15 - 20 cabins per group. By doing this it is less running around from stateroom to stateroom so you may enjoy your vacation and not spend the entire time running around like crazy looking for different rooms. Plus it is less gifts to make or buy and less that you have to worry about packing and traveling with.

Let the fun begin:rotfl2:

Ok, I paid deposit, I'm in for now! Stats are KalamityJane, DD(7), DS(4.5), DS (2.5) and possibly DH.

I got the 4th added to our cabin, so either way, I can go by myself with the kids in 1 cabin, or with DH in 2.

So excited! Our 10A has already jumped in price over $500!

It just occurred to me that many people might not actually realize that our cruise should be one of the special "Halloween on the High Seas" sailings (which may also explain the high popularity). But something to get any Halloween-lovers excited: http://disneycruiselineblog.com/201...2014-halloween-high-seas-sailings/#more-12358

Of course, things could change between now and then, but I would expect things to be very similar next year! I am SO excited about this - though it is going to make it extra hard to keep the surprise quiet!
