 I am so excited!!! I found out last night on the radio that I won a trip to disneyland. I can't wait. I go on Monday and do the paperwork. This worked out great because as our grandkids turn four years old we take them to DL and this year two of them turn four. The trip is for four people so it is perfect. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
I don't mean to brag I just had to tell someone!;)

That is so exciting! And sounds like it will be a very special trip for you! Congratulations!!! :cool1:

I gave up ever trying to win something from radio stations, i swear i have bad timing so kudos to you! enjoy it! definitely do dl in the morning, as soon as it opens, then about 10ish head over to DCA and play a bit. . . I finally got my dh on board with this and he completely enjoys it more and if you have a hotel room go take that break! then you kind of feel like you had an extra day tacked on. . . have fun!

Congratulations!

The first time we went to WDW in 2005 was a truly amazing trip but when I won a trip from a local radio station the following year in Nov. 2006 well that was even more amazing. :cloud9: I couldn't believe winning from a contest on the radio as I had my doubts that everything was a set up. But my cell phone rang that morning and it was one of the broadcasters live telling me that I had won. I was actually driving at the time and how on earth I managed to change lanes safely to pull over to the side of the road God only knows.

Have a great time and don't forget to tell us all about it!

In my case the radio station was broadcasting live at Disney World so there were 10 trips for four in total so we were part of a group of 40 that all flew down together to be part of the Year of a Million Dreams promotion.

During the week we enjoyed all the parks and waterparks on our own. The radio station only asked that we attended the three morning broadcasts that they aired from the Magic Kingdom. They even provided us with breakfast. What an experience that was. We were bused in to Magic Kingdom from the "backstage" employee entrances and were given security passes to get in and ended up entering the park from a side entrance at about 7:00 am. It was great just seeing the empty park and how all the castmembers get ready for the day.

When are you going ? I can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Congratulations again:thumbsup2

I am not sure. I would like to go in the beginning of December. I go to the radio station on Monday morning to get the paper work.
I wonder if we all have to go at the same time? I hope not. I write more on Monday when I get back home. Can't wait.

Congratulations! This is wonderful news for you. You gotta let us know how it all turns out. :)

I'm really excited for you and I hope you get to choose when to go. With us we didn't have a choice as that's when the radio station was broadcasting so there weren't any exceptions. The only hard part about not being able to choose when to go is if you need to request time off work at such as short notice.

When I told my supervisor that I had won and needed to request a change in my holidays she first told me that I wouldn't be able to go because we were really busy at work. Luckily the Team Leader had heard the whole thing on the radio that morning that I won so she was so excited for me and let me have the time off without any problems.:cool1:

The good thing about going down at the same time was we got to meet the other winners, their families and also the broadcasters and watch them do the morning show live from Magic Kingdom.

Either way it doesn't matter...anytime is a great time! You're going to Disneyland !

Can't wait to hear all about it. I unfortunately never got around to writing a full trip report. I only posted a few things here and there about our trip on the Canadian forum threads but I'll post one picture now. This was taken at Magic Kingom during the CHUM FM broadcast. We were there the very last week of November 2006.

I went yesterday to the radio station to sign the papers and I am still not sure what the winnings cover or when we can go. They said that Disneyland would be calling us soon to get it set up. Did this happen to you? I love to plan and I want to plan. LOL

Hello Kimis,

Sorry I haven't been on the Disboards the last few days.

After signing the paperwork / waivers at the radio station I had to wait for an email from Disney and Westjet vacations. I had also spoken to the promotions director from the radio station a few times as we needed to provide them with everyones names as they were on our passports.

I knew some of the details about the contest from reading it on the radio stations website but only knew about all the details after receiving the email. That's when it really began to sink in...that we had really won!

We just used the flight confirmation # from the email at the airport to get our boarding passes. After landing in Orlando there was someone holding up a sign that said "CHUMFM Winners" and she led us to a bus that took us to our hotel at Disney's Boardwalk. We checked in with the confirmation number which was also on the email.

There was a package waiting for each family member at the front desk that included our park tickets, $500 gift card and a welcome letter that also included a basic itenirary. We were also surprised with a Canadian Flag Mickey pin and lanyard and also 4 tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

I hope you get all the details about your trip soon so you can start your planning.

Keep us updated and Happy Planning!:goodvibes
