Won a million dreams prize !!!!

It was for 2 people at Party for the Senses at Epcot. We've got our 4 yr old with us and they said there was no way he could go so we had to refuse it...

Really annoyed that Disney could pick us out for that prize when they could see a 4yr old with us.

I have to admit it's probably the type of prize I would win. I've only ever won one prize in my life. 18 years ago I won a pretty good amplifier.....2 weeks after I'd just bought a new amplifier!

We ordered a C/S meal in MGM Studios, collected it and the server said, "You have been selected for a Disney Wish" Wow, we thought.Then she carried on "You can choose a Cookie or a Brownie" Although we were thrilled to win, we couldn't quite understand as we had just bought lunch which included cookies and brownies! I thought Cinderella's Castle was too good to be true!!!

We got 3 dreams but only small ones, we won dream ears twice and a dream fastpass in AK.

ahhhhh....that is such a pain they should have offered an alternative dream......such a let down, but nice to be picked I suppose.

That is a real pity.

DW and I had a similar experience at Animal Kingdom, we were due to leave the park when we won fast passes for the day but were unable to use them, however we kept them as souvenirs

We got off Star Tours and the there were a few of them waiting for us. They took us to one side and looked realyl serious etc.

I thought we'd won something big like a DVC timeshare or something!!!!

The meal would have been nice but I was really off with them when they said there was no way we could take our son even if we paid for him. Whats the point in offering a prize to people with a child with them?

My wife had a real go at them when they suggested we leave our son with a babysitter (we were staying in a private villa anyway), saying that we didnt come to Disney to leave our kids out of the fun....

Really bad that they didnt have an alternative to offer as well - even if it was less of a prize!

They can ONLY offer the prize that they have to give away. A computer randomly generates a prize and a location to go with it.

For example: 2 tickets to 'Party for the Senses', awarded to the person sitting in Row 5, Seat 3 of simulator 2 at Star Tours at 10am on Tuesday 9th October 2007.

I am personal friends with many members of the Dream Squad and say they have people shouting at them all of the time, but there is nothing they can do to change the rules of the giveaway.

So to everybody, please, in future if you can't accept the prize for whatever reason then kindly turn it down, but don't make an issue from it.

i feel so sorry for the dream squad if they are getting treated like that as they are trying to give away dreams at the end of day how every large or small they may be. its not there fault about the problems. The way i see it you came to Disney to for fill a dream, if you get more then your lucky.

well that's just stupid...they should have something as a consolation prize....even just something little......even a sticker would be better than nothing....or how about a FP...everyone's always thrilled to get a FP....

the marketing person who designed this whole gimmick should be strung up and shot for not including some sort of little alternative for those who couldn't accept the prize.....otherwise you generate as much badwill as good....a marketing campaign that generates badwill is not a very good campaign...

Well they depending on the Cast Member they do usually carry around stickers, or rider switches (basically anytime fast passes). But that isn't a requirement. I agree they should have a back up plan such as this, but unfortunatly they don't!
Maybe in the Year of a Million Dreams 2008 will bring in some improvements!

On Monday my daughter was made a chef of the day at the Main st sweet shop. they gave her a certificate, a chefs hat and they announced it in store and folk gathered round whilst she decorated cookies and rice crispie cakes.....they gave us everything she made to take away and eat...I managed to get it on video....but you can hear me sniffing back the tears!
