Won 2 more Golf cups!

Hi Fiona, my DH says he can find out exactly but he thinks it's GCSE grade C or better in Maths and English and have a handicap of 4 or better. That is what it was a while back but they do change things.

Hope that helps and I've just seen your ticker, have a fantastic time tomorrow :yay:

no its still the same Jo - must have maths and englsh minimum GCSE Grade C or above and 2 others to qualify for PGA registration - 4 GCSE's to Grade C and above in total.

The reason they do it is to hold up he standards of their members in some way. As many go on to run their own businesses etc and interact with the public on a daily basis they want a certain level of scholastic ability to be proved so they PGA members dont look like a bunch of whatnots whose only ability is to hit a golf ball.

If he cant get a grade C in GCSE English I have to say he will find it extremely hard to pass his PGA exams if he does register ..... bad grammar, spelling etc all get marks deducted. So even if he could get in with special dispensation it may be very hard for him to continue and pass his exams which would mean failing the PGA course - and its pretty expensive these days.

I hope he manages to get his english grade and reach his dream of joining the PGA - its a great profession to be in and we love it.

Uh hum IslandMum where were my congrats? ;) :rotfl2: BTW I'm still holding you to that game and the cocktails :rotfl:
