Just had to share, on Sunday I played the final of a knockout mixed foursomes (I played every other shot with a man) and we won :yay: There were 20 couples entered!

Then today I played in our Autumn Meeting and I won the scratch and the net (when you take off your handicap) prize, so another cup :yay: I played to a 10 handicap and my handicap got cut to 12 :cool1: For all those golfers out there I had 4 double bogies  But managed to also get 3 birdies, 6 pars and 5 bogies so I got it back :thumbsup2

I had to make a speech which is the worst bit of winning :rotfl2:

Jo,i am at a complete loss when it comes to golf. But i did understand the part that you won, well done :thumbsup2 .x.

:cheer2: Congratulations Jo :cheer2:

Great news well done!

well done jo. my dh and ds are both golfers. my ds has a handycap of 9 he just turned 16 yrs. they are taking there golf clubs to florida in 4 days time. we are staying at highland reserve golf in kissimmee. they are playing magnolia (disney). my son wants to become pro and wants to go to the golf accadamy when hes 19 his handycap will have to be 4 or lower by then. he also has to get a better grade in english. hope you keep winning lots.

Well done, Jo. Fantastic scoring - doubles must have been a bit painful to take!

I was happy getting 27 points last week on a Stableford event - nothing compared to your performance though!

Thanks everyone :goodvibes

Well done Jo! A fantastic win:thumbsup2
I see you're in Kent - where do you play?
I play at Wrotham Heath, I used to play when I was young, had a 14 year gap and have been playing 1.5 years now :thumbsup2

Thanks Matt, all I kept thinking was ahhh those 4 double bogies, maybe that's why I didn't realise I was doing well on the rest of the holes and scored well :rotfl2:

jo hope you can help me out. my son James had to go to collage to do his english again. he didnt get a good grade at school as he had a motor accident when he was eleven and missed a year of school he also had major head injury has got a plated leg and was paralised in his arm and hand. that is why we got him into golf so he had to use it. he got all his feeling back in his arm and hand and only has a slight limp when he is tired. hes done great and you cant tell. the only thing is is because of his head injury he needs his english and finds it so hard. he is 100% dedicated to golf he is a polite lad and any thing to do with golf hes happy. i really dont know what he will do if he cant get into the golf accadamy why does he need his english? even to coach or work in a golf shop. do you know what grade he will need . im so proud of him and how far he has come and just want him to have his dream.

Hi Fiona, my DH says he can find out exactly but he thinks it's GCSE grade C or better in Maths and English and have a handicap of 4 or better. That is what it was a while back but they do change things.

Hope that helps and I've just seen your ticker, have a fantastic time tomorrow :yay:
