Women who don't wear jewelry

I wear a watch every day. I do wear a necklace with a charm that my nieces & nephews (actually, their moms & dads) gave me a few years ago that says "Special Aunt". Not married or engaged, so no rings. I used to wear my mom's engagement ring, but started to worry I might lose it, so it sits in my jewelry box. I wear earrings once in a while.

I still wear it. I'm more of a silver girl but I still think that some colors look best with gold jewlery rather than silver so I do own two pair of gold ear rings, a gold braclet, and gold neckalace but everything else is sterling silver or white gold.

Before I met my husband I wasn't big into jewelry, I wore ear rings and maybe a ring on a finger but that was it. After we had been dating a while he started to buy me jewlery. He comes from a culture that is big into jewlery especially gold so it when it was time to give a gift for a special occassion or just because it was natural for him to give me jewlery. I so wished for other things but most of the time it was jewlery. I would complain to my mother about this and my mother was quick to tell me to button my lip. She said that if you criticzed a man's gift all the time he'll soon start to think you're not grateful of his gifts and stop giving you anything at all then all you'd do is complain that my husband never buys me anything. So I never told him to stop buying my jewlery I just over emphasized other gifts I would love to recieve as well until he got the hint.

I've gotten jewlry from other people as gifts too. Most of them are wealthy faculty members of my department that I work for who travel to places such as India, Italy, the Islands and other places that bring me back gifts. While I still wouldn't call myself a woman who has a ton of jewlery I have a nice selection that no matter what the outfit or the occassion calls for I have something nice to choose from. Everyday wear for me is a simple pair of ear rings, one braclet, my engagement ring and wedding band and a pinky ring on my right hand that has hearts that go all the way around and a simple neckalace. Sounds like alot but no, it's very tastefully done; I don't like to over do it.

The only jewelry I wear consistantly is my engagement/wedding rings. I don't like necklaces, and almost all earrings make my ears red and itchy after a few hours, so I rarely wear them. I do have a few pretty and sentimental rings, so I will put one on now and then, but not often. I also have a lot of bracelets, but only wear one rarely.

I wear my wedding/diamond rings, gold chain with my husbands shield # on it & occasionally earrings. But when I get home-they all come off!

Nope..you're not the only one OP. I don't wear jewelry either on a regular basis.
Most of the time I only wear my watch and I've started wearing a pair of studs in my ears because of the problems I've had with my holes closing up.

The only jewelry I wear are gold earrings. I can only tolerate gold posts on my earrings, and since I wear no other jewelry, DH has given me a nice collection of gold earrings.

I have a nice gold charm bracelet, but it is a pain to put on, so it stays in the drawer.

I rarely wear my engagement/wedding ring. It used to be tight on me, but fits OK now. It just feels bulky and in the way.

Eh, I just let the holes in my ears close up. I knew I was never wearing earrings again anyway. ;)

I rarely wear a necklace and I don't have an engagement ring or wedding band. We didn't have rings in our wedding ceremony.

I wear my gold earrings and rings on the two ring fingers.
I lose bracelets and necklaces I haven't worn in years.

I use my cellphone for the time instead of a watch.

Nope, I only wear my wedding band daily. No earings, no necklaces, no bracelets, nada. I'll wear additonal jewelry if I'm dressing up, that's about 2-3 times a year.

I only wear a gold chain with a taz charm around my neck and my watch. My watch was required by my job and now can't go without one.

I have a number of really nice pieces of jewelry but once I retired, I hardly ever go anywhere that I want to wear them! My wedding/engagement rings are soldered together so I wear them when we go somewhere but once I get home off they come. I'm not the daintiest person and manage to scrape my hands on who knows what, and I'd rather not lose my diamond. I have my mother's mothers ring and a beautiful ring DH bought-green Maine tourmaline, sapphire and diamond that I wear occasionally. No bracelets, necklaces. One pair of small diamond earrings when we go out. When I retired the watch came off - I keep it on my pocketbook strap! I really love jewelry to look at and see on other folks, but just don't wear it.

I'm in this group. I usually wear my wedding band, but it is a teeny tiny band that my husband bought me a few years after we were married because it drives me crazy to wear my wedding set.

When I'm at work I wear a badge on a lanyard, so I have a watch hooked on that.

Now that I'm reading this, my wedding band is bugging me. I'm having to resist taking it off!

No, I only wear my wedding band half the time. I'm surprised I haven't lost it yet because I keep it on an end table in our living room!

I lost (well rather my daughter lost) my diamond earrings. I lost my engagement ring. I can't keep anything!

I'll be the odd man out....I like jewelry, I think it can really make an outfit sometimes. I usually wear at least 3 pieces plus my wedding set.

I'm a girly, girl and I  shiny and sparkly things.

That's my dream..to someday have a library in my house!

:lmao: DH hates that I don't wear jewelry. He told me it would be SOOO much easier to shop for me.

I was really happy when he built me a library in our house. Now he can take me to the bookstore if he wants to give me more gifts. :rotfl:

I only wear my wedding ring. Anything else just bugs me, especially bracelets. I don't even wear a watch.

When my mom died I inherited her 2 ct engagement/wedding set, and an anniversary band with diamonds all the way around it. They're both sitting in my dresser drawer. I'm going to put them in safe deposit and save them for my girls, I think. I have no interest in wearing them.

I wear my wedding set (classic solitaire engagement ring and plain gold band) and a small pair of Celtic knot earrings. That's it. I'm just not the jewelry type; I rarely dress up and I'm just not very girly. I live a jeans and t-shirts lifestyle and I see no need for jewelry or makeup on an everyday basis.

Funny story about not being a jewelry girl - DH's uncle owns a jewelry store in an upscale area. The first time I met him was when DH took me shopping for my wedding set. We're looking at rings, with DH picking out one thing after another that was way too fancy for my taste. I tell him simple, so the next thing he points out is a 2 carat solitaire. At this point, I'm a touch exasperated that he's just not getting it and I tell him "I just don't want a diamond that big!". I thought his uncle was going to die laughing. He said that's the first time any women has ever said that in his store!

I wear a watch and my wedding ring. That is it. Earings make my ears itch. Necklaces bug me after a while. Occasionaly I'll wear bracelets.
