I mix foundation with face cream, apply blush on my eye lids and cheeks and mascara and sometimes lipstick. I think my eyes need more but I don't know what color eye shadow to wear. I also don't want to wear too much makeup as I have never done so before.

I've been wearing a Tinted Moisturizer by Nutrimetics on my face instead of a foundation. I Love it!
It gives you color but not heavy coverage like a foundation.
Blush on my cheecks, eyeshadow, (I like light pink, and I like the beiges and light browns. My DD likes green on me, but I don't. I have hazel eyes) I use mascara and curl my eyelashes, and I use a light lip liner and a tinted lip gloss. I don't use eyeliner, never did.
If you're not sure what color eyeshadow you like, try going into Sephora and get a little mini makeover. Experiment with the colors. My 19 yr old DD loves doing this. She likes to try their different products. I have to say she's pretty good at doing makeup, and If I have something special to go to, I'll let her do my eyes!

comb my hair, put on deodorant, brush teeth, gargle w/mouthwash, lip balm

I think Ranatra's idea is a good one - I'm sure in the US, like the UK, you can get mini-makeovers at cosmetic/skin care counters and shops. It's a good way to try new looks and colours without wasting $'s on mistakes! And don't be pushed into buying products if you don't like the results!

Biggest tip - moisturise, moiturise, moisturise. The tinted moisturisers are a good option - don't forget the SPF ;)

Right now all I use is eyeliner and lipstick. I found too many foundations and moisturizers break me out. Ivory soap and vaseline works for me and always has.

I just started using eyeliner. I never used it before because I always felt like I had that hard/racoon eyed look. I found a cream eyeliner from Smashbox. It comes in a little pot, like lipgloss. It also comes with a stiff flat brush, like an eyeshadow brush, only stiffer. Instead of putting the liner on the brush and drawing a line across your eyes, you put the liner on the brush, place the brush near/against your lashes, then shimmey the brush, pick the brush up, do the next section, etc. It makes a huge difference in my eyes! The line it makes is a very fine, soft line. It opens my eyes instead of closing them. I have auburn hair and green eyes. I use a color that is a brownish grayish black. I like it a lot.

If I wrote everything else I did, I'd be here all morning.

In WDW, nothing! :o Not exactly the best time to have my picture taken. :p

I change what I put on but the one thing I always do, 365 days a year is put on Oil of Olay with SPF. Then I decide what else I'm going to put on. I also wear very little when I am at WDW.

by about 5 years, but, anyway, I NOW use Maybelline Ever Fresh Foundation-- stays put Day to Night in FAWN!;) Covers VERY well, and I am going out today to find about 5 tubes of it, its SO good!;) I also use a Blue Eyeliner, it does not smudge and when it does, it looks like I have eyeshadow on. I use LOTS of Mascara and Powder, lipstick, and I am DONE! OH, and I also use a brown eyebrow pencil on what few Brows I have left. ;)

I dont use anything, just a clear mascara run over my eyebrows to define them, blow my hair dry, get dressed and I am on my way. I didn't even wear makeup when I got married, hey, maybe that is why i go divorced hahahhahahhahahaha :teeth:

I don't wear any make up at all. I wash my face with Clinique 3-step soap every morning, but only remember steps 2 and 3 (toner and moisturizer) once or twice a week! In fact, I forgot today :). It takes me about an hour to get my 3 year old DD up, dressed and fed and I have no time for myself in the morning!

My routine.. and I do this before I go to the gym every morning... cleanse and tone also moisturizer.. I use all different products... I do love using Avalon products from the health food store as the lavender scent is incredible... but I do use moisturizer for dry skin.. Sothy's secrets and then I also use Paula Dorf tinted moisturizer, Lancome under eye concealor and I use a product by Arden which is face lightener.. I love it.....flesh color eye shadow, taupe in the crease, purple around the eyes to bring out the green and I also use the Smashbox eyeliner, love it, and use Smashbox eyebrow makeup as well.. curl the eyelashes, prescriptives mascara, plum, line my lips with chestnut by Mac and lipstick is Orellana by Aveda... and a little gloss and out the door.. I can do all this in 5 minutes... it sounds like a lot.. but I have it down to a science..

Also, I am an esthetician.. non-practicing, but have my license... I have been doing this for a while... and have sold cosmetics... It is like anything, it can be an addiction...

All this before going to the Gym?!?! Who the heck is going to see you there? Don't you have to do the same thing all over again after your work-out?

LOLOLOLOLOL.. No Robin.. I don't do it after.. it just stays.. actually it sounds like a lot but you would probably not even know that I am wearing it.. just the lipstick shows... sort of natural looking.. oops I forgot the blush.. LOLOLOL... I use a Stilla translucent stick... LOLOLOLOL... I just got home from two classes at the gym and my make up is still on..

Whew! That's a relief :). That makes sense then ... you only put it on once.

LOL! You sound just like my DD!!
She makes fun of me for this. I shower, do my hair and put my makeup on before I go to the gym. And yes, I shower immediately upon coming home from the gym. (I hate the showers there, never enough hot water) But if I'm staying in, I won't re-do the makeup.

In the morning I wash my face with Jurlique Facial Wash for delicate skin. After the shower I use Lancome's non-oily eyemakeup remover to wisk away anything the face wash missed around my eyes, then Lancome's toner for dry skin. Next is a Lancome eye cream and Jurliques Day Care Face Cream.

After that comes makeup, all Lancome, councealer, foundation, loose powder, brow powder, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, lip liner, lipstick.

Takes less than 10 minutes start to finish.

Evenings I wash, tone and moisturize as well, and I get a facial every other month or so.

I have to agree that it really doesn't take that long to have a good skin care routine (really the most important part if you want a good canvas to work on!) and to put on make-up every day.

I do and it takes 5/10 mins. Could be you get quicker with practice. As I'm in my mid-40's I've had plenty of practice over the years LOL

My young daughter also has her own little skincare routine - using an organic Avalon facial wash, lip salve and a *very* light moisturizer - and she likes her pale pink lipgloss :) Young girls seem to want to do these things so she might as well learn to look after her skin and be *subtle* about make-up while she's at it. She's often heard to quote my 'less is more' phrase ;)

On a bad day..nothing!

On a good day..oil of olay w/ spf...estee lauder cover-up for dark circles, Ultima light powder, estee lauder blush, and Almay one coat mascara, allergic to lipstick..................usually applied at red lights.

I have always been low maitenance, but at 42 I'm not sure it's enough!

What does anyone use for wrinkles? I just got Retin A from the dermo, but I am bad with a consistent routine.

Where do you get the smashbox eyeliner? I've been around the block big time with make up but never heard of that particular brand and would love to try it.

I use equal amounts of skin care/make-up products - lots of Avon's ANEW line. Just can't see subsidizing Lancome's advertising budget with their prices. I always use foundation to even skin tone and consider myself dependent on it!!!!
