Women only

Never heard of the Diva cup - I am definitely interested after reading the site. I usually go through a box of super, a box of regular and a pack of pads (for backup because it gets bad!) for every cycle. That alone is like $15 a month.

Me too. But once I started using keeper(for a few months before getting pregnant) and Diva when my AF finally returned after I only buy one small pack of pads(as backup because my heavy day usually I have to dump A LOT more than lighter or medium days) every other month or so. I use about 4-8 pads an AF and most of those its clean and dry when I throw it away since the Diva works great when my Af is lighter but usually atleast one day I need that pad backup and might even go through 2-3 pads that day.

After reading this I went and checked out the Diva Cup website and decided to order. I hate wearing pads(especially when working out) and I use the ultra thins, still feels like a diaper to me.

It must be something about WDW and Aunt Flo, she decided to come a week early and see the HDDR. Had to go over and buy supplies at FW before we went in.

Someone asked about using the Diva when out of the house.

Women with a lighter flow only have to empty it morning and night according to the website. So some people might only need to be changing it at home.

I have a heavy flow and need to check/empty the cup 4 times a day for the first several days of the cycle. Basically, when I wake up, around noon or 1, around 5 or so, and bedtime. I work out of the home & I'm often out & about on the weekends.

As others have already said, if you are in a stall-type bathroom, you can just empty it into the toilet as usual, wipe it and reinsert. When I'm out with the kids I know where there are some single-user bathrooms (toilet and sink together) and of course I try to use those. At work, the nearest restroom is a stall type and it is not very busy. I will often remove the Diva, exit the stall and wash it at the sink, and then return to a stall to insert. So far I haven't had anyone enter the restroom while I'm doing that, but I figure that (a) they will probably not notice or ignore, (b) if they're curious it will be a chance for me to introduce them to the product, and (c) I'm not doing anything wrong, menstruation is something all women have to deal with.

ahhhh man you are sooo lucky...3 years..I could only wish..I don't know what to tell you as far as the cycle goes I can just say I am JEALOUS!!!

I am having an endometrial ablation next Friday to try to put a stop or lessen mine!!

OMG - I had an endometrial ablasion last September - the best thing I ever did for myself. Aunt Flo hasn't shown herself since, and I don't miss her the tiniest bit. Good luck with yours! :thumbsup2

Okay, skipped past all the diva cups not knowing what they were...but...my first PPAF came during my trip to Disney when DD was 9 months old. Totally not expecting it since she was still nursing every four hours. Fortunately they had overpriced sundries in the hotel store.

Get yourself a diva cup... slip it in your diaper bag and you will be prepared =)

:rotfl:

That's too funny!!!!!!!!! I am still nursing DS (just turned 1) and I nursed my DD til she was 2 and 1/2 and with both the ole witch came back to see me after 9 mos.

I always carry an "extra" in my kid's diaper bags. Admittedly, when I've ever "had" to dig it out and actually use it, it has been a little beat up by then LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:

OMG!!! I just re-read all the posts leading up to my response...I responded too soon!!! I had no idea this was an actual product...I thought Oceana was calling a maxi a "diva-cup". Well, you learn something new everyday don't cha??? LOL I'm gonna look at the sight now to see what this little contraption is all about!

It doesnt get beat up sitting in the bag at all... when you are ready to use it just wash it with soap and water and you are ready to go

no need for an over priced box of anything for the next 10 or so years!
