Women Croc Wearers

I have two pairs of the original beach crocs and two pairs of the original sandels (don't remember the name), I also have one pair of mammoths, two pairs of the RX and two pairs of flip flops (the suede with the built up heel).

The originals are fine but they are fitted and I usually wear them with a pair of low cut below the ankle socks because (my feet sweat). I quit wearing the oringial sandles because they are tight on the top of my foot and I got a heat rash there.

I got the mammoth's because of tendon damage I had to wear extra supportive shoes with out a back. The mammoths were what I wore to work in the winter that I was trying to heal the damage. They are actually too warm for my feet but I had to have some black shoes and these fit the bill every other way.

I've since had surgery but will always have problems with bone spurs and achilles tendonitis. So the RX's were because they have a wider foot then the originals and my feet don't sweat in them as much as they are wider and not tight to the skin, while they are soft and supportive enough for my heel. The flip flops are also because I can no longer wear any regular ones (because of non support and no cushoning) and the two pairs I have with the built up heel give my enough support and cushioning while still looking summer cute.

I turned one pair of the originals into my lake shoes because you have to have something on your feet to protect from the rocks and such. It's probably what will happen to the other pair as well. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the sandles and the mammoths.

Just remembered I bought a pair of black sandles...I think they are called Crete (flip flop style bottom with two thin straps across the top. One at toe area and one back by my leg that is moveable). They were to wear with a particular pair of capris....they are comfortable but the straps across the top move and I have to adjust them a lot.

Just be aware that if you try to wear them barefoot all day, chances are high that you'll still be dealing with rubbing and blisters.

I have 2 pairs of the old fugly kind..I wear them everywhere and when I have to wear "real" shoes I could cry...I love those fugly old things

I think that depends on the person, because when I've worn my all day without socks before, I've never had a blister in any of mine (fitted or loose, beach or sandle). The sweating is the biggest problem I've had. I've worn them on vacations to hot places both humid and non humid, so I'm pretty sure they'd hold up to Florida.

The type of shoe might matter as well, I have to be carefull with flip flops because they will rub inbetween my toes.

I would suggest wearing them at home (with an extra pair of shoes just in case) to see if you blister. I have some Venice Keens that I have to watch for rubbing on my big toe and little toe, but I've never had that problem with Crocs.
