Has anyone recently eaten at Wolfgang Puck upstairs? I checked out the menu on Deb's site but it is from 01 so I'm sure some things have changed. I'm basically wondering what appetizers were, if they still serve just a steak (filet mignon, maybe) and what was offered for dessert. My fiance and I are basically meat and potatoes and don't go for the more interesting food but we would like another fine dining experience since we are on the Gold plan. We are also trying California Grill - hopefully we can get steak there too but without any sauces (we like it pure lol).

Thanks for all your help.

If you want fine dining and are meat/potatoes kind of people try these places.

Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge
Flying fish at Boardwalk (one of the best steaks on disney property).

Go to Shula's if included in your plan

We haven't been to puck's recently...the times we gave it a chance it is not worth the money, the food is not that good and the service is horrible.

Never mind - while I had previously thought that this was included in the gold plan from others on this board when my TA called to make a PS she was told that it is no longer included on the plan so we won't be eating there.

If I were you I'd call back and ask a different CM or call the restaraunt directly. We were there March 03 and it was included. When I e-mailed guest services the first time, they said it wasn't. When I called disney they said yes and I also called the restaraunt directly and they also said yes. If you plan on making a PS, you need to call the restaraunt directly 30 days ahead.

BTW, this was our favorite meal of our trip....so be persistent.

Good Luck....oh and post back again and let me know. We plan on doing the gold plan next year mainly because we loved this restaraunt.

I think I'll call the restaurant directly and see what they say. I believe it was your report that I relied on for the info about going there on gold. However, my fiance didn't realize there was a House of Blues and now he really wants to eat there for dinner. Not quite as expensive or fancy as Puck's but the food looks good and since most of the places we are eating are my choice I might have to let him have his way on this one. I'll let you know what I find out.

We've eaten upstairs at Wolfgang Puck's and it was fabulous! The schnitzel was perfect!
